Do 2-way radios work in airports?

If not my 9yr son will be going into the ladies room whether he likes it or not. I already told him the "family bathrooms" only have a picture of a lady on them.

They do work in airports. You should have no problems especially if you are right outside the restroom. We experienced some static and breaking up when we were in the interior of the airport and were fairly far apart from each other. We could still hear each other, but it was sometimes difficult to understand. We went near windows to help correct this. However, like I mentioned above, with such a short distance between you and your soon in the restroom situation, you should have no troubles.
