DME to AKV

Does Disney's Magical Express pick up at Kidani Village, as well as Jambo, or do we have to get ourselves over to Jambo?

I understand DME picks up 3 hours prior to flight time. If we took private car service would it still be that early, or would we get an extra hour?

DME will pick up and drop off at the building you are staying at.

DME does pick up at Kidani. The 3 hour window is really to cover themselves to give all the guests adequate time to

a) get picked up
b) pick up other guests along the way (typically at 1-3 resorts)
c) get to the airport & unloaded
d) give you ample time to get through that often LOOOOOOONNNNNGGG security line

What a nightmare it would be if they cut the time short and then lots of people missed their planes and tried to hold Disney or Mears responsible.

We've experienced it both ways - that 3 hours has had us sitting at the airport idle for 30-45 minutes, and other times we've been fortunate to walk up to our gate and the boarding process is about to begin.

The one time we used a towncar service several years back, they picked us up about 2 1/2 hrs prior - so not a huge difference.

We used ME last year from Kidani. I believe there was only 1 pickup stop after us (but that could have been based on their reservations). Great experience and we had ample time to make it through security etc even during the holiday week. Definitely recommend.
