DME: staying at ASMu, car rental at Dolphin

What happens with our Luggage, We are renting a car from Alamo and picking it up at the Dolphin Resort, Arriving in MCO. Do we grab our luggage ourselves and head down to the buses or does Disney take care of that for us.

We are staying at All Star Music but still need transportation to get to Dolphin to pick up our car.

I'm thinking we just get in a bus line that will be going to Dolphin rather then going to All Star Music. Will the Bus Driver allow us to take our luggage off the bus when we get to Dolphin or must it go to All Star Music.

I'm a little concerned it might get lost or stolen.

Anyone ever done something like this before, if so how did you go about it?

As long as you have a reservation for Magical Express and check in at the Welcome Center, Disney will pull your luggage behind the scenes and deliver it by truck to your resort.

You will NOT be able to 'just get in a bus line going to the Dolphin' since (a) it is not your resort and (b) as a non-Disney-owned resort it is not served by Magical Express.

You will need to go to your resort, then either take a taxi or use Disney transportation. Taxi will be direct, Disney bus to DHS will be most direct but you will then need to either walk to the Dolphin or take the boat.

The S/D are not entitled to DME usage. So there will be no DME bus going there for you to hop on. Besides, your DME reservation is tied to the resort you are staying at. The bus driver will look at your voucher, and if he is headed to a resort other than the one you are staying at, he will not allow you on the bus. You will be directed back inside to get into the correct bus line.
So...tag your checked bags, let DME take care of delivering them to the AllStars for you. When you get to Music, get checked in. Then, take the bus to DHS, then you can either walk or ride the Friendship boat to the Dolphin to pick your your car. Or, you can take a cab right from Music...should be under $20.

If we rent from Orlando - Sheraton Studios (ORLR71)
5905 International Drive, what are our options for getting there and costs? not exactly sure where that is located, coming from MCO.
