DME + Rental Car For Part of Trip

Does anyone Know if you physically have to ride the bus from MCO? We would like to rent a car at MCO and drive straight to Sea World for the day and check in at SSR later that night. It would be great if our bags were at our resort when we got there. Is this possible?

Do they hold your bags until you actually check in or do they deliver them to your room without you since they should know that you are coming.

Yes you must physically be on the bus. It is not a luggae shuttle.
