are the luggage tags preprinted with the resort you are staying at or do you fill in the information yourself. Reason I'm asking is that the first night of our trip has not been booked, it will be at a Disney property but we will most likely wait to see if a discount code becomes available, the remaining nights of the trip are booked at the Beach Club, I would like to sign up now for DME.

Thanks for your help

DME requires a hotel reservation number, so you wont be able to book it until then.

How far in advance do you need to make reservations with DME? so technically I could make a reservation at a disney resort now, that will go into the system and change it later if needed? Do the tags come preprinted from the resort that you are staying at?

Thanks

Kyle

The rule has been ten days in advance of beginning your trip.

DME is never sold out so you don't have to be anxious about booking early. (They also do not use booking date as a priority when you arrive at the welcoming area at Orlando Airport at a busy time.)

Yellow baggage delivery tags have your resort name on them. If you don't get them until the last minute and the resort name is incorrect or has been changed, simply write in the correct resort name, being careful not to mark over the bar code.

Welcome to my world!!! I've used DME three times now, and you would think that I would know better...but, last week I called to set-up my DME reservation for May. When the nice CS rep asked me where I was staying I told her POP, she asked for my reservation number, of course since I'm waiting for the AP code to come out..I didn't have one yet!! Man...did I feel stupid. I got so caught up in making my flight times and all, that I completely neglected that I hadn't booked my resort yet!! So, you should be all set as long as you have a few weeks before you travel. I know they have said they like to have 10 days, but I always feel better giving them 2 weeks to get me my tags. Good luck...hope you get a terrific AP rate!!! Then, once you book that first night, just call DME and make your reservation!
