DME for early morning arrivals?

I thought there was a DME FAQ thread, but can't seem to find it. I know DME stops collecting luggage from MCO at 10pm, but does anyone know what time they start? We are departing from CA at 6pm Friday, and arriving at MCO Saturday morning at 6 am. Will DME bring our luggage to the resort? Will the difference of days cause an issue? And if they do get our luggage, I'm hoping they will keep it at bell services until our room is ready?

Also, anyone who has experienced early morning arrivals, have you had any issues with "hanging out" at your resort until your room is ready?

Thanks!

Not a problem at all. There will be nice seating areas in the lobby, the food court will be available, a lounge chair by the pool, a bench with a view, a stroll around. I've had to hang out after a long flight like yours and ended up falling asleep in a Dublin lobby, snuggled up with my equally passed out sister-in-law. o_O

There is a Transportation thread here on the DIS that will help with these type of questions.
They will deliver to your room when it is ready.
You are able to use all resort amenities from your arrival. Just either check in on line in advance or check in as early as 6 AM on arrival day. You check in and use all resort amenities even though your room is not available.

Thank you! I just found it :thumbsup2 For some reason I thought DME info was under the resort thread. I thought it was weird that there was no DME questions at all!

Keep your pool essentials in your carry on bags. Spend the day at the pools!

Or, spend the day in a park :) bell service can hold your luggage

I am doing this next week - arriving really early and leaving my luggage with the front desk then spending the day in the park. I am told I'll get a text when my room is ready with the room number and they'll put my bags in my room for me. When I get back that night my magic band will be my room key so I won't even need to stop at the front desk!

If your bags are being delivered by DME they will be placed in your room appropriately 3 hours after check in.
If you are giving your bags to Bell Services to store you have to call for them to be delivered after you are in your room.

We try to book mid-morning flights to avoid down-time, but it's not always possible; sometimes the better fares seem to be at "off hours". If you have the energy after your arrival, you can head to a theme or water park. Or you could do some shopping --- always one of my faves! We generally have a nice lunch and hang around our resort pool. More than once DH and I have happily dozed in our beach chairs! I always have my trusty Kindle with me too!
