DlxDP and appetizers for a 10 yr old Disney Adult

We always do the DlxDP but this is the first year my son will be able to order from the adult menu. He is a fairly adventurous eater and is fine with the entree choices, however there are not a lot of appetizer choices he will eat. He does not care for salad. ADRs at Be Our Guest, Brown Derby, Jiko, Artist Point, among others. Will he be able to order a alternate/kid friendly appetizer? Would they simply offer larger portions of the standard kids appetizers or will he have other choices?

Most places dont really have a kids' appetizer.

If they don't have something, he can't order it, so I'd look to see if there is anything else on either menu that he will eat and see if they'll do a substitution.

At many restaurants the kids' appetizer is a fruit cup, soup or salad. On the adult menu there are often soups and flatbreads among the appetizers. If he doesn't want any of the adult starters I would assume the server will suggest one of the kids' starters.
