DLRP 1st timers trip report Santa Fe Sept 2010

I wont bore you all with all the details of our trip as i will probably never end up finishing my report with all the good things we experienced! Basically there was me(dad), the wife(mum), our son Elliot just turned 4 yrs old and our new arrival Katie aged 12 weeks.1st trip to paris and we werent disapointed. stayed for 5 days in Santa Fe. Weather great. Kids great. Everything great.!

thanks for the kind words. yes we must have met almost every character there, we were very lucky i think. and we were definatley very lucky with the weather!

i just wanted to mention that even though we went when its out of summer season, i still thought the parks were very busy. even though the wait for the rides werent huge compared to summertime there still seemed to be thousands of people in the parcs....except for friday, when the weather was a bit cloudy,it was very quiet friday, maybe the weather had an impact on the numbers i suppose....

waiting times i saw for the 5 days were:
autopia was never under 30 mins
peter pan 10mins
buzz laser quest pretty much walked on all week
its a small world 10mins
pirates of the carribean 10mins
indian jones walk on
thunder mountain walked on.......most of the time it was 20min wait
space mountain 10 mins
star tours walk on
crush coaster constant 50 mins
RC racer walked on
SLinky ride 20 mins
toy soldiers parachute ride 40mins (had 2 goes coz i got stuck)
armegeddon walk on
tower of terror 10mins
cars rallye 20mins
rock n roll coaster 10mins

my little girl is 13weeks old today and my son has just turned 4.
weather was superb, there wasnt a cloud in the sky for 4 days! sunday and monday were warm,around 21degrees, tuesday and wednesday were hot,my phone said the temp on weds touched 27 degrees. thursday was cloudy with sunny intervals but we were still warm and dressed in summer clothes! fab.

my sons fav bits were definately meeting the characters and getin a high five off everyone of them and the buzz lightyear laser blast ride, my wife and i must have done it about a dozen times!

this may seem soppy but my fav bits were just seeing my sons beaming smile for the 5 days......he loved every second of it and too me thats the most important thing. my wife and i just loved the fact he was so happy, we thought the whole experience was magical and much better than we ever expected.

our original plan prior to going this time was to go now and then wait about 3 or 4 years until or daughter is old enough to appreciate the experience, but since we have come home we have already discussed the poosibility of going again sometime next year!
