Hi everyone!
First off I am new to post here, Not so new in reading, but I am not a big poster.

I am planning my wedding and am running into a few challeneges and want to know if anyone else is experienceing the same.

My wedding is December 1st at the Rose Garden - DLR hotel. I am 8 months till my wedding date and My planner refuses to help me plan anything until August. I can't taste my food till October and I am just feeling like this is pushing everything to last minute.

The thing my wedding planner doesn't seem to get through her head is I am in 6 weddings this year as MOH or BM not to mention my own. So I don't have all the time in the world to play their wait to the last minute game.

I understand they plan weddings all the time and its no biggie to them, but It is huge to me since this is my first and last wedding.

Please give me your input!

Did you see the sticky at the top of the page? Might help some. Good luck with your planning.

Yes I read all of the stickies. These have NOTHING to do with what I posted. I am just curious if anyone has had difficulties with their Disney Fairy Tale wedding Planner.

I Have Jennifer and she is not as helpful as I would expect of Disney Cast memebers being.

Hi. When we were planning our wedding we told our planner that we had specific obligations that would prevent us from venturing to DL for planning sessions and meal tastings and therefore we would only be able to do it at specific times. With this being said our wedding was in June and we had our planning session in November and meal tasting in December. Come spring we were done. We planned from quiet a distance a way and things went relatively smooth. See if you can go down there during the week (on a trip) and talk them into scheduling something for then as they might nto want to as they figure you're only available on a weekend.

Have you considered calling and asking to speak to a different planner as they might be greater assistance to you. When our WC refused to do something we went to someone else. This was usually how things were completed.

BTW, the RCG is beautiful. You'll ahve a wonderful wedding day.

I noticed you are in the Pacific Northwest, So am I! I am glad there are others who have successfully have planned from a distance. Out of curiousity who planned your wedding?

I have considered talking to Denny, about getting another planner, I just wanted to check with other people who have had different planners at Disneyland and their experiences. So I know who to request when I do ask for a change. I guess you can call it researching the planners.

Thanks I am very excited to have it at the RCG!!
Do you have any pictures of your wedding that you wouldn't mind sharing?

When we planned ours we were living in Northern Ca. but are now here in Wa. So we did a lot of telephone and emailing to get things planed out for the big day. Are you on the west side? We're out here on the Idaho boarder.

Our sales manager is no longer with FTW, but it was Chuck. He was from WDW FTW. We weren't too happy with him. We spent a lot of our time working with Cynthia who was of EM. We really like her as she was great at responses and during our sessions, but I know of people who weren't so thrilled by her when planning their weddings. So I think it's one of those hit or miss things. Our Day of cordinator was Leslie, but she is now a catering manager over at the GCH I believe. She too was awesome.

Here are a few pictures. They were taken by Doug and Chenin Boutwell.

I just wanted to tell you, your pictures are amazing! And i'm origionally from Spokane, WA. I miss family there.

We had Jennifer and she was really great...sorry you are having a hard time. Of course, when we finally got to actually having our planning session it was March or April (can't remember, how awful...) and we were worried that we wouldn't have enough time! We were assured that they plan weddings in a lot less time. We had our tasting in July, and our wedding was in September...

We had an evening wedding in the RCG and it was so amazing...:thumbsup2

p.s. keri I always love seeing your pics... :)
