DLR Only Mid/Late September Photopass Share-FULL again! (see updates in Post #1)

Our first 2 share families have uploaded their PP pictures into our group account. We already have over 260 pics in the account so it looks like the photopass photographers are out in full force in the parks !

Keep in mind as we get lots of pictures in the system, it will take longer to load and edit. Be prepared to set aside some time for this, especially if your trip is one of our last or if you are waiting towards the end to edit.

Hope everyone who has gone already had great trips and hope everyone else is getting as excited as we are! Less than a week for us!

260 already? We had around 70, so somebody else was very busy with photopass!

One word of advice is that we couldn't get most of the "special effects" pictures this trip. The areas around HM and Star Tours are closed off right now, so no PP either place. Also, we had to specifically ask to do the Stitch pictures in DCA, whereas most of the PP picture people in front of Partners and the Castle automatically have you pose for the Tink picture.

To everyone who has yet to go, have fun and have a great trip! The parks are pretty empty right now, although not to the point of feeling deserted. In fact, on our last day (Tuesday) FP for Indy was gone by 1:00 pm and the park didn't even open until 10 am!

That's pretty impressive considering those two groups were only there a total of 4 days in the park!

Looks like we are still in good shape! I am leaving tomorrow but will check email periodically if anything comes up. I emailed the_donut our acct info but if you don't see it, check your spam folders as it seems my emails sometimes get bounced there.

Done with our photos. We didn't do that well on finding photopass photographers, but we did get some nice shots out of the limited number that we did take.

On the day that we went to Mickey's house in toontown, the photopass photographer didn't come until 11:30 when Mickey moved from the front of the house to the back of his house (and they split it up into 4 rooms of Mickey). Before that, Mickey greeted people at the front of the house which meant a line to enter is outside with no shade. Seems best to wait until after 11:30 if this is a typical schedule.

Today was our last day in the parks. We drove to San Diego for a few days before heading home so I am on my dh laptop and was able to upload our photopass pics a few days early.

Did not get a ton, partly because we did not see the photogs as often as I thought we would but also because trying to get all 5 members of my family to be agreeable to photo taking was also challenging. My baby always seemed to be asleep whenever we saw one of those tan vests. Got some great shots though so it was totally worth it and I cannot wait to get the CD and get everyone else their pics as well.

I will email the last family in our share the account info. We all have until Oct 1st to edit and then I will order our CD. Thanks again for doing this with me!

So far it looks like Greg and I had the best luck finding PhotoPass folks in the parks. On our last day, we basically had a magic moment with a PhotoPass cast member that did a TON for us!

This was so much fun! Cheshire, I looked for you but didn't see you. Hope birthday #1 was a success! He's one cute little guy!

I did run into one person who saw our LGMH and said hello...but I failed to get her name!

Hi Everyone!

We are back at home after our Disneyland and San Diego adventures. We had fun but we are exhausted! I have to agree, we are great looking group of Disney Fans!

Lynne, your pictures are so great! When I saw all your shots, I wondered if a photographer had provided a little extra "magic" for you both.

Not much longer till we order our CD. Have fun editing everyone! So far the account seems managable and not too slow. They have some really cute halloween borders that make me wish we were going to be there tomorrow for the start of the halloween decor!

Hi Justkeepswimmin -- I have a question Im hoping you can help me with -- I am doing a share with two people I knew who were going around the same time as us and live in our same town - so no shipping! Anyway -- I am the first one back and have uploaded my PP pics - they will be home this week and next. Ive looked at your thread and see that you are going to separate each familys pictures after you get the CD. Could you explain how I would do that --- as Im the "leader" --but have really no clue what Im doing! Thanks so much!

You will be fine! Just make sure everyone uploads their pics on different days. If they do that, their pics won't get mixed up with other families who might decide to upload at the same time and any editing they do stays grouped with the original pics. This also makes it easy for you to monitor the account and make note of where each families pictures "end".

What I do is this: After a member of the share uploads, I just note the last pic in their sequence (ie family of 3, day, closeup, btwn castle/partners statue). No matter what they do during their editing process this scene will be their last picture in their sequence and a cue for you to break up the pics. This also doesn't really require you to "look through" their pics, just make note of their last shot.

Tomorrow is the last day for adding borders or editting your pictures. If you have finished editing, go ahead and shoot me a post/pm/email. I will order the CD a little early if I hear that everyone has finished up otherwise I will go ahead and order it Thursday morning, Oct 2nd, as planned. No rush and have fun with those borders.

Thanks for your tip on keeping pictures separate - what I want to know as well though is - when you receive the CD from Disney - and you make copies for the other families - how do you put only their pictures on their CD? Thanks - I wish I could PM you but I only have 9 posts! One more and I will be able to! Thanks Nicole!

PS Is it only the borders that you can add to edit your pics on Photopass?
Thats all I could see other than cropping etc.

Hi Megan,

What I did last time was place all the pctures from the Photopass CD on my computer's Hard Drive. They will come on the CD in folders (at least that is how it was last time) and each folder is labeled according to the picture sequence (ie pics 1-200 were in a folder named"1-200") Once on my hard drive I cut and pasted the folders/ pictures that belonged to each family into my CD burner program. Sometimes I did not need the whole folder so then I only cut/pasted the pics for that family. I then dumped the pics off my hard drive out of respect for privacy issues. I retained the master CDs from Disney in case there were any problems.

When you place your final CD order, you can note the sequencing of each families pics. This will not change once the final order is placed and is how the folders on the CD you get from Disney will be organized. For example, in the group I am doing now, I know that pics 1-111 belong to our 1st share member so I will only burn those images onto a CD for her and her family.

Yikes! That was a long winded answer to something that really is not as complicated as I probably made it sound ! Anyways, hope this helps.

How great! We just missed the halloween decor on this trip by just a few days but caught it last year and it was amazing. So many great photo ops too! Our annual passes expired about a week ago and I am sad as dh wants to take "a year off" from disney so our next trip will likely be around Christmas time 2009. Those darn Aps had me spoiled!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that our photopass CD arrived today!

I will separate everyones pics and burn CDs tomorrow. I may get them in the mail tomorrow but more likely I will take them to the post office Friday morning. I will post once your individual CDs have "shipped".
