I'm a little foggy on this since we've never used our points to stay outside of WDW. Can I only book DLR at the 7 month window?

I've never done it, but I read that you can book almost a year in advance (don't know exactly how many months in advance) but I'm pretty sure you can do it now. good luck

Thanks! I'll call this week to see what the story is.

You can book DLR on points at 11 months out. However, they don't always have the rates released yet. For example, for my upcoming trip to the DLH in January, I was not able to book that trip until somthing like late August or early September. I called my rep and she called me as soon as they had released room rates so I didnt have to keep calling. DL doesn't release room rates to anyone else earlier either so its not like the place will be sold out before points are released. You can book on ponts at the same time cash reservations/packages are released. For an August trip however, I wouldn't tarry too much. Those reosrts sell out all year, peak seasons and weekends in particular. All 2008 rates are out at this point so people have been booking for your time frame for sometime now.

Booked my trip today! We're going to Disneyland! And I still have points left over. :woohoo:

Wow, have fun! I grew up next to Disneyland and have been there dozens and dozens of times (almost all of them before they built DCA, DTD, and the GCH). Disneyland has that cozy feel of the park that Walt built.

I'll be heading there in a couple years (once they complete some of the DCA makeovers).

Thanks Mike. We went there last year on our honeymoon (stayed at the Grand Californian) and loved it! We're going next summer for my cousin's wedding - we decided to make it into a vacation. So once again, we're staying at the GC. We love that resort!
