DLR Hotel Guest 9AM Entry for Little Mermaid - Enough Time To Ride Twice?

For anyone who has been the last two weeks and stayed at a Disney hotel and used the 9AM entry to ride LMAUA....is there enough time to ride it twice before 9:30?

I was looking at the lines app this afternoon and was surprised the wait time was only 20 minutes.

I think there is, if there's not too much of a line from other hotel guests. You'll know if the line is short because the CM's actually suggest staying on for a second go at the point of disembarkation. The goal for us was to get off before 9:45 to make sure to line up for rope drop (to get to TSMM). As long as that 2nd ride starts before 9:30, there would be time to spare.

On the first day, the ride went down as we were getting on, and with that delay, we didn't stay on for a 2nd go. But the 2nd day, we were able to ride it twice before 9:30, and we didn't even get there right at open.

Yah me too. I am still thinking about doing the 9AM LM thing next Friday but if standby is so short later in the day I may not. I also am thinking about using our two extra FPs both for Star Tours.

I was planning on doing both Soarin' and Little Mermaid during that first half hour...

You should be able to ride it once or twice using the early ride option. Last S-T the line was 120+ in the afternoon until later on Tues then it was 20 mins. However, in my family's opinion (this is probably not the popular opinion) we wasted our generic use FP's on this. We all agreed we wouldn't wait longer than 10 mins in the future.

thurs we went in as DLR guests at 937.. road it twice walked out of LM at 10am on the dot

We went last Sunday around 9:15 AM and rode it twice before getting in position for the rope drop at 9:35. They were NOT checking room keys at the ride, so I assume some of the people on the ride were not DLR hotel guests, but the line was still super short and fast-moving.

We were there last Monday and rode it twice between 9:30ish and 10:00 am. They were checking room keys all the way up to 10am and we walked on the ride both times. (We used both of our special fastpasses for Star Tours).
We arrived at the entrance to LM at about 9:28. Rode it once and after getting off noticed that they were still checking room keys (and directing lots and lots of people to a line forming outside the ride - a CM had already slowly walked a line from the rope drop). We decided to ride it one more time.

While I don't know the answer to your question, MouseWait just tweeted (5 min. ago) that the Little Mermaid wait time right now is only 5 minutes.

Touring Plan's "Lines" also shows 5 minutes. Does not bode well for LMAUA.

So there IS a hotel guests only SPECIAL FAST PASS ENTRANCE?

Please, you are the only person to refernce that it actually exists.

Can you just please share your info of where it is, how you find it, etc.

It is not a FP entrance and FWIW it has been discussed a bit over the last couple weeks.

If you show your DLR hotel key they will let you ride LMAUA at 9AM before other guests at 9:30.

Can someone clarify this for me? I understood that DLR hotel guests received generic FPs, and that there was a special line for LMAUA. I then thought we would need to use our generic fps to enter this special line.

However, reading these it seems there is an earlier entry time for the ride if you are a house guest?

So do we still use the FPs?

Arriving mid july, would really appreciate the clarification.

there is still info out there about TWO different things. A) getting in 30 minutes early to ride the little mermaid and B) a special access fast pass (using one of the two fast passes that the disney hotesl give you.

Stay at one of the 3 Disneyland Resort Hotels from June 3 to September 5, 2011 and receive 2 FASTPASS tickets for each person in your travel party, per stay. Separate theme park admission required

Hmmm, I guess I thought this was standard info. Especially since Disney has it on their website. Maybe it would help you if someone said they actually got these special FPs and used them?

Teddibarra -thanks for your post...looks like this info has been added to the hotel website since we booked, and it is definitely more detailed than the info we received through Disney travel at the same time.

Been tied up with a few work things since then... but looks like you can't take your eyes off the boards for second! Always essential reading!

I'm still a little confused about when regular guests (not hotel guests) can starting riding LM. Is it 9:30 a.m. when you can also ride Soarin', or is it 10 a.m. when the rest of the park opens?
