Hi!

After seeing all the post about DLR at Christmas:santa: time I am toying with the idea of going either the 1st or 2nd week in Dec(could also celebrate both my ds's B-days:bday:). I know the schools are not out for Christmas vacation at that time. Has anyone been to DLR in early Dec before and if so what did you think the crowds were like? I am traveling with a 1yo and 4yo and crowds would not be a good idea for them. If it is too crowded them I will stick to our original plans, Jan.

Thanks!!! :mickeyjum :donald: :tinker: pluto: ::MinnieMo

Since we are going the second week and I want it uncrowded, I would suggest you go the first week (HEE HEE HEE- just kidding):rotfl:

I hear the frist two weeks are great, but reading these boards and all the others going that time, we will see. I expect the week days to be great and the weekends more crowded with the locals.

A few DIS members and their families will not make a difference at all. Crowds will be the lightest you can possibly imagine (though it's not empty).

We went last year the 7th-12th. Hardly any crowds and the weather was great (at least for us Boise people).

Most rides only took 5 minutes to get on and the longest I had to wait for anything was 30 minutes to see Capt. Jack Sparrow  .

The lines were so short that I did all of the rides and attractions that I wanted to get done in the first day and a half we were there. The rest of the time I was able to take it slow and soak up all the little things.

To me, it's a no-brainer to go the week of the 10th rather than the week of the 3rd (and that's why we'll be in the parks on the 11th through the 14th).

Consider:
  • On 12/3 and 12/4, DL closes early for CM parties
  • The week of the 10th, DL opens earlier and closes later on Wednesday and Thursday, compared to Wednesday and Thursday of the week of the 3rd
  • I think the Electrical Parade will make its holiday season debut on the 14th, based on last year's schedule - this is only a prediction

Here's hoping for great weather!

those are the reasons we arrive the 11th and leave the 16th.
