So sad to be going home today, but first we have our shopping to do. Just outside Calais close to the tunnel entrance is cite europe a big shopping centre and also a designer outlet centre.

First we have breakfast in Mcdonalds

we then hit the shops. We all buy something and Maurice buys Lisa some lovely Oakley sunglasses in the designer shopping centre

We buy french bread and cheeses in Carre foure and make up a lovely lunch for eating on the ferry

one last shot on the ferry

It is then time to say goodbye and head back off to London.

We are all sad to go home as we have had a wonderful time. We all agree to come back in two years time for Lisa's 40th birthday and stay at the same hotel. Roll on 2010.

sounds like a wonderful trip, thanks for sharing :goodvibes

One point I forgot to mention was the incredibly high price of everything. It has always been expensive in France and especially Disneyland Paris, however with the poor exchange rate a trip to DLRP can work out very expensive. That said it was a magical trip and well worth the expense.

Glad you all had such a brilliant trip, thanks for sharing it with us :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great trip Sue.

Great about the fab weather but a shame about the poor service and high prices.

Thanks for the report Sue. A substantial amount of drinking appears to have taken place, much to your credit. :lmao:

I guess we'll get to DLP at some point in time, but maybe we'll wait until the exchange rate improves!

Shame your holiday has ended but you've all had a great time :)

We definitely noticed the effects of the exchange rate as well

It's always sad when a trip has to end but of course that means you just have to plan another one! :cool1:

I really enjoyed reading about your trip. Thanks for sharing:thumbsup2

Thanks for your trippie - I enjoyed reading it.

Sara. :)

Great trip report. Did you find the queue for the Tower Of Terror long???

ELOISE

We found on all three occasions that the queue for tower of terror was very good. Mark will never queue long for something he has been on before (as we queued ages for crush). Tower of Terror was excellent and can't wait to go on again
