Just coming back from an extended family gathering at DLP. It's sad that it's over, but great that next week I'll be back, with friends this time!
What's better than a trip to DLP? Two trips to DLP!!!!

Highs

Ratatuille: great attraction. Probably the best Disney dark ride I've tried (I've not been in Tokyo or Hong Kong, though).

Dreams: I cannot get tired of it

Hotel Cheyenne: it's my favorite as theming

Restaurant reservations: his was the first time I went booking restaurants in advance and it made a difference.

Disney's Studios: they did a great job with this park and it's finally a good park on its own. Ratatuille, Nemo and Cinemagique are three world exclusives worth the ticket alone, in my opinion. And the Tower of Terror is the jewel of the crown.

Weather: 5 days of wonderful sunshine!

Lows

Hotel Cheyenne: I know it's an High as well, but I have to say that maintenance of our rooms was bad. Broken tiles, filty shower curtain, problems with housekeeping. I know it's meant to be a cheap resort and probably I'm now spoilt by DVC, but I've stayed in one-star hotels kept in better conditions.
Also breakfast organization is awful. After 7:30 a queue going outside the lobby and spawning into the courtyard formed every morning!

Disneyland Park: all the improvements on the Studios show even more how in need of an update the big park is.

POTC being closed: it was closed also 8 years ago last time I went with all the family. It's a pity they never saw it.

How slow Counter service restaurants are: the latest investors relations claimed that per-guest spending went down last year. If they want to increase per-guest spending they should allow people to buy food in less than half an hour minimum. I cannot understand how they can be so slow.

Pause Gurmand: understanding what's included and what's not is really confusing (and causing troubles, see previous point)

Sounds like you had a great trip and lucky you going back so soon!

I agree about counter service restaurants. We ate at Fuente del Oro this time and it was fine but last year service at Casey's and Chalet de la Marionnette was extremely slow.

Wow just back and heading back again....not jealous...nope not one little bit :-D. Sounds like you had a good.time

Welcome back ..... and off you go again, I'm so envious! ::yes::

Glad you had a great time apart from the few lows - my DD recently came back and said the amount of people holding up the counter services queues with Pause Gourmand queries was really frustrating.

Welcome back! I agree with Cheyenne - fab theme, but really in need of a refurb! I'm hoping they'll do it after HNY.....!!
