DLP Shops!!!

Hi Everyone, I will be going to DLP 3 weeks tuesday and am really excited as this will be my first time!

I love most things about disney, but my most favourite things are disney villains, disney classics, snowglobes and figurines. However I just wondered whether anyone could give me their opinion on DLRP Shops?

What kind of things do they sell in the sequois lodge shop??(Thats where I am staying)

Also, does anyone know where I can find any really good photos of the shops in the parks and disney village??

Or does any one have any good photos?

I am sooooo excited I just want to buy everything, which I know isn't possible but I would like to think I could.
Also does anyone know whether in DLP whether you can have things shipped home? I have done this in WDW before with items such as my villains cookie jar and snowglobe and just wondered whether it was the same in Paris.

Off the top of my head some things they sell is clothing, sweets, postcards, drinks, pins & general DLRP merchandise. All the hotel shops tend to stock the same sort of merchandise so you could have a look in all the hotel shops in case they stock something another one doesn't.

I'm not sure if they do mailing, you may have to do this yourself. I could be wrong though.

Oh yes, there's a beautiful Christmas shop in the Castle.

There are some lovely photos of the shops on Photos Magiques. I love the shops at DLRP, obviously they aren't as extensively stocked as at WDW, but I still manage to spend a small fortune each time I go!

Yes, they must do mailing home as I once contacted them by email to see if they still stocked a book and when they replied they offered to mail it to me. I managed to buy it cheaper elsewhere in the end but I do remember the mailing rates were much cheaper than WDW's!!

Great, I'm so glad there's a christmas shop! I always regretted not getting more stuff from the christmas shop at WDW so I will make up for it this time round!

Does anyone know if they have a villains shop? Also im going for Halloween so will they have an influx of villains merch especially the night before christmas?

There is no Villains shop. For Villains merchandise, you'll need to go to the Emporium for the "cheaper" items, and Disney Gallery (Village), Harrington's (Disneyland Park) or Animation gallery (Studios) for the collectibles. I remember they sell a niced framed pin set. It's four different backgrounds, with a pin of a villain on each background. I think they also have a sketch-with-pin frame from Maleficent.

The shops at Hotel New York and Disneyland hotel also sell nice collectibles (WDCC, Lenox), although you can get those way cheaper on eBay.com (even with the S/H, it's cheaper, I speak out of experience).

The Christmas shop in the Castle is nice, although not as a big selection as at WDW, and they also sell snow globes there.

If you want to buy stuff that breaks, do it during the day, and not during the evening rush. During the day they have way more time to wrap things, during the evening rush, everything has to be done much quicker.

I'm sure I read somewhere that there is a discount shop there too that sells all of the end of line stuff....is this true? Living overseas means that I haven't entered a Disney Store for a good 3 years, eeek! I might just have a blow out

Its not a discount shop as such, it is the shop nearest the entrance/.exit to the main park which sells the sale items as well as full price items.
