It's been a good few years since we went to DLP, and just having a quick scan through the restaurant menus the prices look pretty scary! :scared1:

Can anyone help me out with firstly those restaurants of greatest acclaim, and secondly those where you get decent quality/portions for your money?

If we have to be spending this amount to have a good meal, I want to be sure we're picking the right places - don't want to be disappointed and feeling ripped off!

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

it depends, because a lot of DLP restaurants are buffet style - is that a yes or a no-no for you?

A trip for us to DLP wouldn't be the same without having a meal at Annette's - altho it is pricey; it's the one restaurant that we go to year after year!:goodvibes

Happy to try a mixture, so yes would consider buffets as well as table service and some counter - whatever the recommendations tell us!!

We really enjoyed Walts - good quality food and if you go for the set menu very reasonably priced for the food you get (the cheesecake is to die for) Counter service wise the best we've found is the Earl of Sandwich - lots of choice, good value and fairly quick service. We also enjoyed Hakuna Matata, the rice made a nice change to the never ending supply of chips!

Restaurant des stars in the studios is a buffet and a very good one. We love it there, and we consider it to be very similar to inventions ( very similar foods). And half the price too :)

I'd say Walt's too. It's the best food we've tried in DLP. We found it so much nicer than the others that we have 3 reservations booked for our trip in July!

We really liked Agrabah Cafe. The themeing is fab and the food was great too and as it has a Moroccan/Arabian theme it's a bit different from the other buffets in the park. Plus it's only Standard category it's one of the cheaper buffet/table service restaurants.

Restaurant des Stars & Billy Bobs buffets are good value for money. Billy Bobs is Tex Mex variety with ribs, fajitas etc along with salads, desserts etc

Plaza Gardens is another standard priced buffet, like Agrabah Cafe, but has less adventurous options should you prefer. :)

Some good ideas here - thanks all, will concentrate on these menus :)

Restaurant des Stars -- does anyone by chance have the buffet menu for this restaurant please and know if you can make reservations for here?

no, you don't tend to get "menus" for the buffet restaurants. You can reserve this in advance, and I would (they often use with and without reservation separate tills for payment at lunchtime in this restaurant).

Thanks Elaine :thumbsup2 Think I'll be reserving this one for fill up at lunchtime and then grab some wraps from Earl of Sandwich for the way Eurostar home :)

wow wow WOW! This looks awesome!! Thank you SO much for the link! I'm definately RESERVING here!!! Those desserts look scrumdiddilyumptious!

I like Walts for something special. EOS, without doubt the best counter service and best price. We are also fans of Annettes - BIG portions, and usually the cheapest table service we do.

HNY also has a nice buffet in the Parkside Diner - that's usually a bit quieter too :thumbsup2

Don't they Angie! I've not booked the character tea party at the moment as I don't want to pile on too many pounds - but with all those yummy desserts available at the buffets I'm expecting to gain big time - as you've just got to try them all out!:rotfl::rotfl:

I know they all look yummy and yes I agree it would be totally rude of us not to try them all :rotfl2:

Seriously though Alison it'll be your BIRTHDAY! Enjoy it! It's not all gonna pile back on in just a few days (plus you'll do a ton of walking) :thumbsup2 And remember, you can always claw it back once you're home again. Don't come home feeling like you've missed out, just enjoy yourself  Not long now!! :goodvibes
