DLP in mid August, how busy?

We've booked to go to DLP from the 14th-18th August, staying at the Jablines campsite and having 3 day hopper tickets.

I was just wondering, how busy can I expect it to be? Obviously the kids are off so it will be fairly mad, but will I still be able to park in the car park?

Will the park stop accepting people when it reaches capacity? What would worst ride queues be like? Should we pre-book our meals?

Sorry for all the questions, but just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Roll on august!

hi great new about your trip. :cool1:

The park will close if it reaches capacity however I am not sure how likely it is to happen, probably something more likely to happen during the Christmas and new year period.

If you get there early for opening you should be fine.

Just another thought, Im a fairly polite and calm person but I cannot abide people who cut queues, push in or are in general being very rude.

How do you guys deal with this, do you say something to the queue jumpers? Do you tell the CM's? Im not sure if I could just do as the natives do as ive been brought up to wait my turn all my life.

This is something that happens A LOT at Dlp, I am afraid, I choose to ignore it and not allow it to ruin my holiday.

Again, im not sure if I could ignore somebody jumping in after me and the kids have been patiently queueing for a ride/show/character. There really should be a no-tollerance to queue jumpers attitude which should be backed up by the CM's.

I wont let it spoil my trip though... :cool1:

We went in August last year and although it was busy we found it manageable, especially if you get to the park early and use Fastpass.
Should we pre-book our meals?
I always pre-book our meals as I like to plan my days round them. As it's a busy time I would suggest booking them, either in advance on 00 33 1 60 30 40 50, or when you get there, especially if you want to eat at a certain place/time. :goodvibes

WE've been for just one day in August & I have to say it wasn't as bad as I'd expected. Before we went I warned the kids that there would be longer queues than June when we usually visit & that they may not be able to ride all they want. but you should fair better as you've got 3 days. Get there early & use fastpass & it's not too bad.

And longer opening hours were a bonus as the parks close quite early in |June . so we stayed all day.

I did take our fleeces & left them at Guest services/left luggage & we did need them at night.

Had no trouble with the car-park but think it was the only time we've used a car-park tram at DLP.
