DLP Booking Rules

Hi all ... Can you bear another email from a DLP Newbie... I know the booking for WDW well but not sure if the rules are the same for DLP. I want to book 2 nights/3 Days next July at the Sequoia or the Newport. I'm not sure if I should book myself online (can't seem to reserve for next July), go through a travel agent, or call directly to DLP going through Orlando so as to avoid international charges? I'm going on one of the Med cruises, so a fourth option is to wait and see if DCL offers any package deals. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, what are the cancellation fees like? I wonder if I book myself, can I cancel later if DCL offers a better package? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

The deposit is usually 10% which would also be the cancellation fee, if you cancel you don't get it back.

However it may be different for you as you are not in the UK, so I think the best thing to do is to phone them up and ask.

If you book online you have to pay the whole amount right away so I'd advise using another option if you are likely to make changes.

Thanks ... I guess I won't be booking online ... If I transfer my reservation or change the dates later, would I still lose the 10%??

DRC (US reservations) also has some availability. The deposit/cancellation and such run the same as the normal WDTC packages.

I believe DRC stands for Disney Reservation Central, at least that is how I interpreted it?

OP, I don't think it's necessary you already make your July reservations NOW. Since you are somehow bound to the cruise-dates, I wouldn't wait until the last moment to book, but you have time to wait for DCL-offers.

Thanks ... Appreciate the heads up ... I think the info should be out soon, however, I was wondering what the cost would be outside of DCL. I just wanted to get a budget idea!

I have a similar question.

I would like to book my October stay now, just to know that I can get the dates that I want at the property that I want.

But what happens if in August/September they release a "deal" for the dates I am going. Maybe stay 3 nights 4th night free or something, would I be able to apply that discount to an already booked package?

If not, I guess that is incentive to not book now.

Although this is an old thread the conditions are still the same
If you book on-line you will pay the full price of your holiday.
If you phone you pay a 10% deposit with the balance due 60 days out from your trip.
There are cancellation charges dependant at what stage you cancel your booking.


DLP does not apply future promotions to existing bookings.
