Hi all,

I've booked DLH for 14 - 17 March 2013 for DD 18th birthday and am trying to think of a few one-off things to do for her. We get there in the afternoon on the 14th and the next day is her big day. So, I wondered if breakfast room service was any good, and is it special enough for a birthday? Also any idea of price and if they would add balloons/plush toy/other item if we asked??

Thinking of doing Cali Grill that night for her, but any suggestions for other special meals during the day would be appreciated.

BTW it's me, DH, DD and DS 14.

Thanks in advance!

:goodvibes

Ha ha! Thank you for that, I was just scanning through the menu looking for the 7am-12pm section!

That's great, it gives us an idea of what's on offer. I know DD would appreciate having it delivered to our room, but I think she'd opt for the pancakes, bacon, sausages so we'd be looking at a hefty supplement for her! princess:

please try the restaurants for breakfast at the DLH - they are beautifully themed, there are tables at the windows where you can look out over the park entrance itself while you are eating, the variety of food available is amazing, its all delicious, and there are charaters to meet outside the entrance of the restaurant the whole time its open for breakfast :).

Give her a big birthday badge from home and tell her to wear it all day - she'll get lots of good wishes from guests, CMs etc.

room service is shockingy expensive!!! and as for breakfast your daughter will prob love the characters which she can see on the way in or out :cool1:

The breakfast at the DLH is so lovely I don't think I'd want to pay extra money to have it in my room. I'd much rather eat in the restaurant with the view over the park entrance and be able to choose from the buffet than have a possibly limited selection brought up to my room.

I'd definitely mention it's her birthday though as there's a good chance they'll put something extra in the room for you.

Many thanks guys, maybe the buffet would be better for her re atmosphere and excitement. And her idea of food heaven is a fork in her back pocket and a buffet in front of her! (just to add she's barely 8 stone and eats like a horse - didn't inherit my pooh shaped genes thank god!)

I'd like a balloon or something on the table but I might have to organise that myself and pop down to collect it before breakfast. Still toying with Cali Grill or Inventions (or other?) for evening meal - as I mentioned she does love a buffet!!

;)

Another one who says the DLH breakfast are so lovely that you don't want to miss them. :)

How about cocktails in Cafe Fantasia in the evening to celebrate that she's a grown up?

Ditto and ditto again. ::yes::

Wow! In all the excitement I forgot she'd be old enough to have a legal drink - she's not one for booze though so it would only be one! BTW is the legal drinking age 18 in France the same as the UK??

:confused3
