DLH Convenience during construction?

I attend a conference in October at the DLH. We usually stay at DLH because it's convenient for me, and the family has easy access to DL with the monorail nearby. Does anyone know how access to the parks and DD will be affected by the construction? I'm considering staying at GC if it will be much more convenient for the family. I don't want them to have to walk through a crowded maze to get to the parks or DD everyday. Does anyone have the scoop?

I don’t think anyone really knows yet. It seems certain that there will be some type of disruption, but what it will look like and when it will be have not been announced yet. All I have heard is that construction will start in “the fall”. I with I had more to offer! I want to know too!

We are headed to DL in the middle of August this year. Right now, I have DLH booked August 14-17, and I was considering adding August 13 to my reservation. When I talked to a CM, I found out that the hotel is totally booked, so I am considering a stay at PP on August 13 and then transferring to the DLH on August 14. The CM I spoke to about this said that construction will be going on and could make walking our luggage between the PP and the DLH difficult.

I've never been to DL, and so I have no frame of reference, other than what one CM told me this afternoon on the phone. The CM also said that he couldn't guarantee that bell services would transfer our luggage from PP to DLH either, which seems really strange to me.

I got an email yesterday from DL saying there would be construction during my stay in October but the only thing it said was it would be between 9am and 5pm. I'm still waiting to find out what that means exactly

No one will know that until at least the end of June/early July because that’s when it starts. I am confident there will be a walking path from the hotel through the construction though! I can’t see them not having an easy way for people who fork over what it costs for a room for the convenience of being so close.

I have several trips planned for the fall/winter. I'm keeping the DLH as our location. While I expect some construction, I don't expect it to be that big of a deal.
