DL Trip December 16-21, 2006

Seems that I could not get enough of DL in April so I have decided to go for my 40th Birthday!!!!

We are planning on going Sunday December 16 until Wednesday December 21.

Do you think it will be crowded yet?? Can anyone tell me when the local kids get out for winter break?

I am counting the days... AGAIN!!!

I think the closer it is to Christmas, the more crowded it will be. I hope that it isn't too crowded at that time because we are thinking of going the 16-19. People have told me that it really isn't bad until the week of Christmas, but it sounded like weekends in December were busy last year.

We are going Dec. 17-21 (the 16th we'll be at the beach), and the next trip after that will be in '07 for my 40th b-day.

We're from the Bay Area, and that will be our kids' first week of vacation. Not sure when the SoCal kids are out.

I had this same time frame question for our December trip to WDW. I am thinking that many districts will go until Friday the 22nd. One good way to tell is by how cheap the hotel rates are. If rates are low then you can summarize that the hotels aren't expecting huge crowds. Weekends will be crazy as always but weekdays should hopefully not be too bad. Do be prepared for crazy weekends, I know that during one of the earlier December weekends last year, Disneyland closed to capacity on Saturday afternoon.

most schools have 2 weeks at Christmas and will be out by the 15th.

Only a few will go into the next week.
