DL Splash Mountain question

Just wondering for a comparison to the WDW version, how many drops does the Splash Mountain at DL have?

I know the WDW version has 5 "official" drops but I don't really consider the last one much of one at all since its like 5 ft maybe, but was wondering about how the DL one is set up.

4 1/2 I believe at DLR...the small lofty one that is also about 4-5ft. at the top of the belt near the beginning, the one right before you enter the mountain for the first time near the Brer Fox signs {pretty decent drop}, 2 inside in the dark {medium sized ones} and of course the Big One near the end of the ride.

Thanks for the response!! (took me a second to figure out what happened as well hehe) so pretty much the same story with drops as at the MK.

But don't forget that at DL the logs are different. You can only sit one person-wide, and sit front to back. Not like WDW where you sit side-by-side...

Yesterday, I watched video of both on you tube. I just wanted to confirm my feelings that the WDW version has a bit more to it. Don't get me wrong, I still love the DL version as well. It was so hot yesterday, that the idea of going on any log ride sounded so appealing. Then I got a big smile on my face when I realized I would be on Splash Mtn in just a bit over a month!

Except for the very back seat, where you can fit two small people or perhaps an adult and a child, next to each other.

The thing about the differences is that I think Disneyland tells the story a little bit better unless WDW has added the scene where everybody is fretting for Brer Rabbit's life. When I was there in '06, WDW went from happy to sudden doom, whereas Disneyland's has the transition.

Yep, that's the one that always gets my feet wet! The water just kind of rolls over the sides.
