DL park ticket pricing questions

I apologize if this has been asked before, but don't really see anything related after scanning through a few pages. I have been thinking about taking the kids to DL, and just checked on ticket prices. For an 1-day ticket, it starts at $104/day. For a 2-day ticket, it starts at $128/day. Is there any reason not to purchase two 1-day tickets instead of one 2-day ticket for a 2-day visit? TIA.

What are your dates? One day tickets have a wide range of price tiers that depend on the actual dates of your visit. So while there are a few mid week, "off season" days where 1-day, 1 park tickets are $104 most days are higher than that (all the way up to $164/day). This tiered pricing ONLY applies to one day tickets- multi-day tickets can be used on any day (pending reservation availability).

So I guess if you know 100% for sure that both of your dates are the lowest tier (or the second lowest which is $119/day) then sure, you could purchase single day tickets instead. Be aware, though, that if your plans change and you need to use the ticket on a higher tier day you cannot easily "upgrade" these tickets without an in person visit to the ticket booth.

Thanks. That explains why the 2-day tickets cost more per day than single day tickets.
