How come there are no parades listed for DL in the September calender on the website? It says under Parades: none scheduled (for each park). Is it too early yet? Why doesn't it just say "information not available at this time"????? :confused3 Oh, please tell me there will be parades when we go?!?!

It's still early for the Sept schedule. The full schedule for Sept won't be up until the beginning of August. There's usually at least one parade in DL on any given day.

Phew, thank you!!! :woohoo: Even if the parades are just on the weekend, we are okay with that!!! :thumbsup2

We have to wait until August? :sad1: (sigh)

As time goes by, more and more of the schedule will be up, but for some stuff, they do wait until only a month in advance to get it up there. Usually parades and fireworks are the first things up.

Are there any indications yet how busy September is expected to be? We were kinda hoping it would be quiet, but with the end of the 50th, we're not so sure... And Disney didn't offer any deals for that timeframe. Just hoping it's not really busy!

I hadn't considered that, I was counting on September being the same as always (quiet after the long weekend)? :confused3

I've read some speculation that September will be busy as people try to catch the end of the 50th (like us!) And since there haven't been any discounts offered in this timeframe (beginning in October they're offering the 4th night free), that might lend a little more credibility to it. I'm hoping everyone who was going to see the 50th has already done so by then (except us!) :teeth:

I'll be using the Disney calendar to monitor Disney's expectation of crowds. More parades/fireworks and longer hours usually means crowds; parades/fireworks on weekends and shorter hours means fewer visitors, and that's what I'm hoping for...

Me too! Our TA told us when we were booking that with the CDN $ being so high right now, she is noticing alot more Canadians (like us!) travelling to Disney and Hawaii. We were originally going to book the very end of August - beginning of September, but by the time we took a couple of days to make up our minds - the flights were already booked up all the way until the 6th. I guess they don't need to offer deals when flights are booking up that fast!!! :goodvibes

We are going too! We just booked two weeks ago, now all on properties hotels of Disneys are fully booked I just heard. I have looked up the schedules too in eager anticipation. The park hours have been set and I also have been looking for parades and firework times so I can plan for dinners and fantasmic , or not. Does any one have personal experience at MGM and Disneyland? It sounds like this one is too crowded for shorter preteens to enjoy compared to MGM, or pretty $$$$ for desserts instead of "fantasmic Dinner" with the section of seats, right or wrong????If there is ,and Iam sure there will be parade and fireworks at least the last Friday and Sept 30th ????? Please lets all keep our eyes and mouseketeer ears on. pixiedust: pixiedust:

The weekend of the 15th-17th is the DL half-marathon, which I think will make the parks very that weekend.

We went the last year in Sept-Oct where there were 2 parade times on weekends and 1 during the weekdays at DL. In DCA, Aladdin and Block Party Bash were not daily events. I don't remember the exact days but each ran about 3 or 4 days of the week. Definitely check the disneyland calendar as it gets closer to your vacation.

Good point - that could be a very busy weekend!

Thanks for the info, it gives us a good idea of what to expect!
