Hello everyone :)

I am local with an AP. I am thinking about spending a few hours (most likely 10:30-2:30) at DL on either Wednesday, June 8th or Wednesday, June 15th, which I think will work better for me. This is a last minute solo trip mostly to try and get in one last DL visit before summery heat comes to LA! I'd love to meet up with a fellow Dis-er for lunch and/or a ride or two. Fair warning, as I have shared before, I am not a thrill ride person. Dumbo is my idea of a flight and Small World, my speed :) I am also someone happy just being at DL and always much more fun with a fellow fan and friend.

Please post or PM me if you'd like to arrange a meet :)

I wish all of you a Happy Memorial Day Weekend. God Bless.

Giving this a bump because I am able to go to DL tomorrow, Monday, June 6th. I would love to meet up with a fellow fan even briefly. I plan to be there around 10 or 10:30 and stay until 2 or 2:30. I was thinking of trying to catch Mickey and the Map (I have never seen it) and maybe give the submarine another try. Please PM me by this evening if interested. Thank you!

We would love to meet up, but sadly work interferes yet again! (When will the company realize that Disney is more important? LOL) Have a wonderful time! You'll enjoy M&TMM. Get a snack, sit in a shady area, and enjoy! :)

LOL, love your work request, theluckyrabbit, that is great :D I hope sometime we do get to meet. After this, I may not be going back until the very end of November when I hope it'll be cooler and for start of Christmastime.

Thank you so much. One "map" question, I should have asked above, is the show really loud? I have TMJ (jaw joint issues) and constant loud noise is often a trigger.

I have "loud" issues, too, and always carry ear plugs with me to DLR. (I wear them on all rides and even in restaurants if the music is too loud, e.g. when we eat at UVA bar.) I don't know if the show is really loud because I wear my ear plugs whenever we see it. I can tell you that even with the ear plugs, I can hear just fine wherever we sit in the theater. You might want to ask a CM to help you find a spot in the back away from any speakers. Please post again when you plan your post-Thanksgiving trip. Maybe we can meet then or at CP.

Thanks again LuckyRabbit. I'm sorry you also have loud issues, hug. I do hope we can meet sometime for sure :)

Anyone able to meet tomorrow? :)

I changed the title of this thread to reflect how very busy DL was today! I got to the park around 10:40 or so and was inside by 11, so not bad there. The line at the gate (not security) were super long. I had mainly gone today to pick up something at City Hall and WOW the line was 30-40 minutes! I was hoping to get on the subs but took a couple looks at the line and it looked like an hour, hour and a half wait! I'm not a night show person (other than in December CP) so keep that in mind when I say I had never (except for one December after CP) seen a literal WALL of people and today they were trying to head back onto Main street from Tomorrow Land.

I did get to see Mickey and Minnie lead a parade while I was waiting at City Hall and saw our two favorite mice along with Pluto and Goofy doing meet and greets. I am always happy just to be at Disneyland but was a little disappointed at just how busy they were today. I know how Blessed I am to be local and able to go back when weather cools off and hopefully the crowds go down a bit too. A few hours at DL are always, a few hours at DL :D

ETA: A safety reminder, morning cool air was awesome. Remember to keep hydrated especially as it heats up. It felt warmer even around 11am when it was still cool, waiting in line at the gate than it did walking up from the bus area/walkway. CS restaurants do give free cups of ice water.

Yes! It was CRAZY to say the least.

^It was! I forgot to say yesterday that after lunch at Village Haus, I was going to go on Pinocchio the way I always do. Pinocchio, there is never any line for or at least not much of a line. Yesterday, was the swelled with crowd exception for Pinocchio!

Why was it so crazy on a Monday? Most schools just barely let out. It makes me really nervous for next week when we will be there.

We are going 6/22 and 6/23 and so I've been looking at ride wait times to get an idea of what it will be like. Holy Toledo yesterday was busy! Changing plans in advance, from busy but manageable to insanely busy and excessive planning/ridemax/etc needed! Like Christmastime!

Today on a Facebook group the ones are long at 8:24am. I think it has to do with all passes being valid too. Summer is always busy for sure and we're next arriving on the days before July 4th so I expect craziness.

It's all about having a plan , an idea if what you want to do and be patient!

According to the annual pass website, this is the last week for the SoCal pass holders until late August, so they're all in trying to soak up everything they can

Don't worry, it shouldn't be anywhere near that bad next week; there'll be a healthy amount of people in the parks, but it won't be wall to wall levels

I posted this on the other thread about the June 6 crowd- but I will post it here too:

We have been this week for 4 out of the last 6 years. We always went to the parks from Saturday to Wednesday. It is always the week with the last weekdays before the SoCal passes are blocked for the rest of the summer. For those 4 years, Saturday and Sunday were always fantastic because the passes were blocked. The crowds were low and the lines were short. Monday was a crowded mess all 4 years, and Tuesday was not that much better. We still had fun, but it definitely was way more crowded than Saturday and Sunday. Wednesday the crowds had died back down and it was better, but I am not sure that the passes were still open Wednesday and Thursday like they are this year. The last 2 years we have been in July (including anniversary week last year) and both years I was really worried that the crowds would be horrible, but both years the crowds on all 5 days of our trip were significantly less than the Mondays and Tuesdays of the June trips when the SoCal were getting ready to be blocked. Doesn't sound like anything has changed since we switched to July two years ago (which was related to DD's schedule, not the crowds).

If the crowd predictors claimed that Monday and Tuesday of this week were going to be low crowds, they are crazy. We have 4 years of consistent experience with the crowd levels on those specific days that says that prediction was nuts. In all our years of going to WDW and DLR, the only time we have been in a heavier crowded day than those 4 Mondays was when we went to WDW the week between Christmas and New Years (well technically until after New Years) 1999-2000.

I would go this week of the year again IF we got the Saturday and Sunday because they were fantastic all 4 times. If I knew I would only be going this Monday and Tuesday, then after 4 years of experience with it, I would not just do those 2 days- they were consistently packed and crazy.

See my post just above. You should both be fine. As I said above, we went Anniversary week in July last year (and in July the previous year) and it was not even remotely close to as busy as the Monday and Tuesday before the passes were blocked. This Monday and Tuesday were INSANE all 4 years we were there. Check your wait times on Friday when the passes are blocked again and I bet it will be totally different.
