DL on Memorial Day Wknd

We're doing the 14 day repo cruise to California and would like to see DL and CA while we are in California but will only have that Memorial Day weekend to do so. I've been to Magic Kingdom at WDW on Christmas (which was nice but crazy) and at WDW in May (crowded but not as nuts as Christmas). What should I expect at DL and CA on Memorial day (crowded or crazy?) I'd love to hear from people who have been at either park on holidays. Would you do it again? Anyone have any sense as to whether or not the cruise ship passengers will substantially effect park attendance over that weekend?

My guess would be crowded and crazy. First, it's Memorial Day weekend, second, the 50th Anniversary celebration will be going strong (and I've heard the new Buzz Lightyear ride will open in May, which will add to the crowds) and a possible influx from the cruise ship (which compared to the others won't make as much difference) is going to make for 2 packed theme parks.
