DL on Day of MHP (without Attending Party)

We have MHP tickets for Tuesday, October 27, and we definitely plan to visit CA too. (Not the same day) Now we're considering adding another DL day. In general, are MHP days less crowded than usual for DL day guests? I'm not expecting any day to be deserted, but my thinking is that most people without party tickets would rather go to CA on such days, leaving DL a little less crowded.

Someone recently posted that they went to DL and the party the same day. He/she said daytime was relatively uncrowded. The thing is, all those party nights seem to have early entry that morning, and I'm not staying on site.

Any suggestions, or does it really make a difference? Thanks.

Most people have park hoppers. They do DL during the day and hop to DCA at night. Party guests without other tickets can get in at 3pm, so they crowds will build starting at 3pm. The main issue for a 1 park per day ticket is the 6pm closing time for DL. If you want you park day to end at 6pm, then do DL. If you want to stay later, pick DCA that day.

I agree with SMD that given the popularity (and easy) of park hopping, I don't think MHP (or EMH/MM) really make much of a difference on crowds in the parks during the day. I went to the 9/25 party and spent part of the day in DL and part in DCA the daytime (pre-4:00 pm) crowds seemed pretty typical for a Friday in both parks. The crowds in DL were pretty manageable during the morning and day and then really picked up when the party goers started to entered the park at 4:00 pm.
