Hello Disney Lovers !

I've been to WDW 6 times but never to DL. I've been wanting to go to experience the Land that Walt Disney himself created and actually walked in.

I'm thinking about a possible trip in mid-November this year, so here are some questions :):

1) Is the week before Thanksgiving a good time to visit? I'd like to go from that Tuesday and leave Saturday morning.

2) Is $593.00 a good price for a roundtrip flight from New Orleans for 2 people?

3) Are 4 days long enough to experience the Disneyland Resort?

4) To and from airport, is it better (cost-effective) to get a car service or taxi for 2 people?

Thank you so much for any questions you can answer. I hope DH says "YES" :cloud9: !

I must admit, I've never been to DL in mid Nov., but I would think its an ideal time to visit. The week of Thanksgiving is very crowded, but the week before should have light crowds. I believe that Christmas decorations start going up around Veterans Day. I've read rumors that there may not be a Haunted Mansion Holiday this year, but hopefully those rumors are inaccurate so that it would be operating then. Weather is usually pretty nice in November; a little cool, but usually fairly dry. Park hours will be shorter that week, but since you've included a Friday night, you should be able to catch the Electrical Parade or Fantasmic. There may be a few rides going through refurb at that time, but it's too early to know which ones.

Your airfare looks pretty darn good to me. Sometimes in the summertime, some airlines release fares of around $100 each way across country for that time of year, but at other times you can't get less than $400 round trip. With gas prices so high, I wouldn't count on great fare wars.

4 days should be good enough especially since crowds will be light.

I usually take the shuttle to and from LAX or Orange County when there are just 2 of us. Taxis or towncars make more sense when there are more people in your party.

I saw on Mousesavers yesterday that there's a discount for your time for all 3 of the DL hotels - pay for 3 nights and get the 4th free - check it out if you havent's already!

Thanks :)! That's what I plan on doing. If we go, we'll most likely stay at Paradise Pier since it is the cheapest Disney Hotel. I got a total of $564.00 for the 4 night trip, tax included but not the $10 nightly fee.

CalGal--Thanks for answering my questions. Everything sounds good for that time.

BTW, what is the $10 a night fee for anyway?

Thanks again!

The $10 resort fee covers parking, local telephone calls, the excercise room, and I think a daily newspaper.
