DL in April

I will be going to DL with a friend in April. I have been before but never in April, so my question is: is there anything special/interesting/must do going on that month? What's the weather like then? Does it tend to be crowded in mid-April?

Easter is April 1st next year, so the two weeks before and two weeks after will be very busy with Spring Break crowds.

I've been in April and the weather was pleasant without being too hot. Depending on when you travel you may catch the Food and Wine Festival at CA and/or Dapper Days. There will still be the odd ride closure and shorter opening hours but given the Easter/Springbreak combo in 2018 you may experience bigger crowds but also longer hours as a trade off. Looking at the calendar mid April is a couple of weeks after Easter and I would think the worst of the spring break crowds would be over by then.

When is Dapper Days usually? I'm also planning an April 2018 trip and trying for figure out crowds.
