DL Hotel pool closed or open?

Hi...we are planning a trip to Disneyland in early June 2011. I was told that DL hotel was being rennovated including the pool. I was told by a Disney Vacation Club rep that the main pool would be closed until late summer and only the "kiddie pool" open. I called DL hotel directly and the front desk person said the pool is open and a new pool is currently under construction not affecting the existing pool? Does anyone know exactly what is happening?
I would hate to go and the pool not be open.

The Hotel Representative is correct. The main pool is open and will stay open. It is not planned to be closed until the end of summer. The play area, including the new monorail waterslides is planned to be open for this summer. When exactly it will open for summer is unkown. Hopefully in time for your visit.

Thank you ......is the main pool that is open a regular pool? or more like a kiddie pool. This is our first trip to Disneyland. With the renovations would it be better to stay at PP or GC ?

All of the hotels are fairly different from each other. So I would say the reason to stay at another shouldn't be based on construction but other reasons.


The Main Pool is the regular pool the big one with varying depths.
