DL Footwear to Croc or Not

Myself, my 4 yo and my 2 yo all wore crocs last year when we went to DL for 3 days. I found my mine (Mary Janes) to be super comfy and I didn't hear any complaints from my kids. :goodvibes

Wore my crocs on our trip last year and they were great! This year I am not even bringing any other shoes with me!!!:thumbsup2

Here is DS with his 2 little friends at DL with their Crocs. :)

Of course they didn't have to walk all day since they were in strollers.

My mom and I wore crocs for the 10 days we were in Cali and they were like a miracle worker! :thumbsup2

OT - do the jibbitz rub the top of your foot?

I've never had a problem with them, and neither has DS.

I have lost a few though.

They don't work with Disney Crocs because the Mickey-shaped holes are too big. DS lost more Jibbitz than I have because of that, and his Crocs are the smallest size they make.

I only wear Crocs in DL (I have black Mickey ones). Everything (and I mean everything) else gives me blisters. Crocs are the only shoes that don't. I prefer no socks, but I put socks on if it's cold. Be careful in any wet areas, though. I've slipped more than once in them.

And be careful in dirt areas too. I can't wear my Crocs to the zoo because I get dirt and twigs and painful things in my shoes in the petting zoo area.

I bought a pair of black mickey head crocks with the red strap. Ill wear them when I wear my 2 outfits that I have that match them. They are good shoes!

I love my NB sneakers. Flip flops for the pool/beach and quick trips out to eat.

Im going to buy the beige sketchers because I like the way they look and they will match a lot of my clothes. So Ill give them a shot this trip to.

For me as well switching up is the key!

I have two pairs of crocs. . . I wear them all day at disney and to the pools, and i have arthritis in my feet, and the best part is my feet are not tired doggies barking at the end of the day! I actually tried them on when my feet were barking and OMG they felt better just trying them on, that is what sold me on them. i wear socks wiht mine, cannot stand to wear shoes without socks. . .

So now I've heard both ways, not to wear them around the water, and some who wear them by the water. I honestly don't want to bring 4 or 5 pairs of shoes for each of us, what a pain. I'd like to stick with two pairs each. So, if we do crocs, we would wear those down by the pool, is that an ok idea or not? I don't want any of us cracking our butts or anything while we are there, lol.

We all wore Crocs (even my husband) on our last trip. They were very comfy. My mom wore sneakers one day and was not happy w/ them. She changed over to Crocs, and it was much better. She was hesitant about wearing them for an entire day because of the lack of support at first.

ON some wet surfaces I have found the crocs to slip. I normally wear flip flops to the pools.

I bring tennies, Crocs and flip-flops to DL. Ditto for the kids, except they have sandals instead of flip-flops (so they don't lose them.) DH has orthotic inserts, so he wears tennies, but also brings a pair of sandals along.

We usually return to our hotel mid-day for Ds3's nap, and I'll change shoes then. I usually wear the tennies in the a.m., then switch to something cooler for the afternoon/evening.

On occasion we have not returned to the room (ie. DS3 falls asleep in the stroller so we stay and keep having fun!), and by the end of the evening my feet hurt, regardless of what I'm wearing. When that happens, I just make sure to wear different shoes the next day, and switch mid-day.

I don't switch out shoes on the kids; their feet don't seem to get sore at all. DS3 spends most of his time in the stroller, and when he's not in it, DS7 hops in for a free ride. I figured if it keeps him from complaining later, that's fine with me. :cool2:

I wore mine when I went in Nov. I have to say that it was the first time I have been to Disneyland and my feet did not hurt at the end of the day or even at the end of all 3 days! I swear by them now! I heard about Smartwool socks on here and bought some to wear with my Crocs. They are expensive $15 per pair but I will tell you what, they ROCK!! My feet were just fine as well as warm at the end of the night. My kids and I will all be wearing them when we go next week. I cannot talk DH into wearing them. You could not pay him money to wear crocs. :rotfl:

You guys are hysterical! Crocks a hideous! BUT a co-worker bought my DD4 pink crocs with the mickey head holes, and I know she'll love them. So she'll be wearing her's on our trip. Who knows? Maybe I'll be jealous of her comfortable feet after a hard day at the park!

My local Dollar tree store right now has an awesome collection of short socks that have lycra in them, check it out if you have one close. Other wise i buy my smart wool and coolmax socks through Footsmart.

I just bought my first pair of Privos, the clerk told me they are a divison of Clarks shoes.

if is it raining do not wear them at the park, but i've been fine by the pool, unlike other things they dry quick!
