We are arrving tonight and will be there through Wednesday morning. This will be our first trip with the kids.

Trying to keep a good attitude about the rain, but also want to be prepared for what might be cancelled or closed. We booked the holiday tour and fantasmic dessert buffet for tomorrow afternoon/night. Thinking both of these will be impacted and wondering if there are any refunds or concessions offered if that happens. Also heard that there could be no snow or fireworks. Please post here if you have any info. on these events or other rides/attractions that are affected. Thanks! :santa:

If F! is fully cancelled you can get a refund on you F! dessert package.

Otherwise out door rides like Dumbo, Big Thunder Mountain and Astro Orbiter may close but indoor rides like TSM, Soarin and Pinnochio will not be impacted.

It takes hard rain and or storn wind to cancel the shows, so just because it's a wet day doesn't mean they won't happen.

Have fun, rain scares a lot of people away and creates great photo opportunities and short lines. Wear a ponch good water shoes they will not soak through and maybe take an umbrella.

Since the boarding area for IASW is outdoors, on rainy days the seats can be wet, so plan for that. I.e. have something you can put on the seat before sitting down, or some other plan. The Christmas version is very nice - worth an effort if you can.

Thanks for the info. We are in the area for a couple of weeks and it looks like we may be able to push it back a few days for a better chance at less rain.

And the boats fill with water. I've got a pic of us holding our feet up to avoid the water that would have gone up past our ankles.

We are here now. So far the following have been cancelled/closed:

Fireworks
Fantasmic
Parades
Teacups
Alice
Casey Jr
Story boats

aww for the fireworks especially. Enjoy the low crowds and go on pirates, haunted mansion, and space mountain over and over.

ETA: we did the tour but were offered a refund because of the rain. The parade was cancelled so they gave us readmission passes for any ride except toy story. We got two passes each for up to six people.

I wouldn't call the crowds low. They're definitely smaller but you can't really just walk on to rides. Space is 50-60 minutes as is Indy. HMH is about 30-40, even pirates had a wait yesterday.

WOW! In the ran they are still crowded. That is a real bummer. So no benefit from the rain. We had just gloom here in San Diego. Come on down and go to Legoland. ha ha

Big thumbs up :thumbsup2 to Disney Travel for allowing us to push the trip back a week! We will try again next week at this time. I'm sure the crowds will be crazy, but at least we will have a better chance at enjoying the holiday festivities. We were also able to reschedule the Holiday tour, but had to push the dessert seating for F! to the second showing b/c the first was full.
