It was hard to narrow the 300 pictures down to the 20 free 5x7s that we got!

Another tip is ask for some of the cool specialty photos like: Fighting Darth Vader, fighting Captain Hook, the Hitch Hiking Ghosts, etc. while in DL.

How did you get 20 free 5x7s? Did you do the Meet N Greet once daily?

And I would love any other PhotoPass tips you have - this is my first time
having pre-ordered the CD so I plan on getting as many pics as I can

We have two Disney Visa's and went once a day for 10 days. Some days we didn't even bother with the photo but just stopped by to get the vouchers for the free pics. So in the end we got 20 5x7s.

Did you order the + version? My tips will differ for that one.

You'll be thrilled with it! We were! Here are some tips:

You can go into the stores that offer the photopass at either DL or DCA and review your photos any time you want to make sure they turned out to your liking. If they didn't you can then go back and have more photos taken of shots where not everyone looked their best. That way you'll know you're getting the best shots.

Anywhere you see a photog stop and ask what they are shooting. Different photogs have different cool ideas. Ask what inventive ideas they can suggest.
Different photogs standing in different area can give you new and different backdrops for your photos.

If you find a REALLY good photog ask if they have any additional ideas. You can tell who the best are as they tend to start taking photos as soon as you approach a character and get adorable candids not just staged photos.

If there are a group of photogs standing together avoid the ones without vests on. They are in training and the vested photogs with them are usually the best of the best so request them.

Ask for the specialty photos. They are as follows:

Mickey on Bench
Minnie on Bench
Tinkerbell in hand
Holding balloons
Stich on Bench (DCA)
Stich coming out of the ground (DCA)
Fighting Darth Vader (Entrance to TL)
Fighting Captain Hook (NOS)
Hitch Hiking Ghosts (NOS)

For the Vader and Hook pics you have to find photogs that have either the light saber or sword. Go to the Photo Shop on MS and ask them who has the props that day.

Don't be shy. Have the photog take pics with just the kids then you as a couple then all together as a family or just indiviuals with their fave characters.

Be freindly and appreciative! We ended up getting to know many of the photogs and actually scheduled days and times for certain photos.

Try and make your way to the castle after the fireworks. You can get an amazing night castle shot with the castle lit up.

When you get off a ride that your photo was taken on go to the screens take down the number and go right to the purchase area. It only takes a minute to have it loaded onto you pass. Do this with every ride and on some have your family do something unusual like wave, look frightened, etc.

Unless the photog is roving (they can go anywhere in the park) ask if they can suggest another area in the land they are assigned to for different shots.

Because of the Carsland wrap on the monorails they are not currently allowed to take photos with the monorails in them.

If you get some outstanding photogs stop at City Hall and compliment them, they really appreciate this and it goes in their file.

I might think of more but I'm in laundry overload right now. LOL

Wow dsny1mom - that is impressive! Thank you so much! Not sure if we will make the Meet N Greet this trip. I'm thinking we will be hitting the rides during that time. But if you have time later (after all the laundry ) I would love those tips for a future visit.
