DL Crowd Reports For This Week 10/15/2007 - 10/19/2007 mon - fri???

My first post... this board has been so helpful for me over the past week, that I thought I would try to give back.

Went to DL Thursday, 10/18 from 10:15am-6:15pm. Lots of people milling around, but wait times were the shortest I've seen in a while. For Nemo, the board said 90 minutes, the line was close to the 60 minute sign, but we were in the sub in 45-50 minutes. FastPass turnaround time was 45 minutes all day (i.e. a new FastPass every 45 minutes - I quickly collected them for every FP ride, which made life easier, although it didn't save much time overall). I met a family of 5 who had received Dream FastPasses that morning but said never had a need to use them. For non-FastPass rides, Astro Orbitors, IASW, Star Tours all had waits of 10 minutes or less. IJ was down for a little while in the morning, but up again by about 11:15. Short lines for lunch and dinner. Weather was perfect. All that said, I'm sure it will be busier today and through the weekend.

Thanks for the update! We really appreciate it!:thumbsup2

Also, welcome to the DisBoards!:welcome:

hitormiss--Thanks for the update! That's great news about the crowds. That gives me hope that next week won't be too bad when we go. :goodvibes

We were at DL on Wed, DCA Thurs day and DL Thurs night and back to DL today. Just giving the kids a nap since the park is open until midnight tonight.

Wed wait times were very short...only 10-15 minutes for most rides and fast pass return time within 30 minutes.

Thurs PM was very busy with waittimes for Space Mountain at 50 minutes right before closing.

Today, the park looks very crowded and wait times are are around 30 minutes for most rides. I haven't been to DL in a very long time, so 30 minutes may not be very long, but after the nice day on Wed, it seems like forever.

Heading back in a little while for fireworks and Fantasmic!

Nemo has been 90 minutes every time we have checked. DH isn't willing to wait that long!

thanks for all the updates- we'll be there tomorrow afternoon! We will be sticking to DCA for the afternoon, may head over to DL in the evening, but I do expect it to be quite crowded!

I'm very nervous about Sunday. That was going to be my main DL day, but now we may be spending more time in DL on Monday than I thought, if the crowds are super heavy on Sun....

We were there Sunday through Wednesday. Sunday and Monday were nuts. I don't know how any of you go in the summer. It was almost impossible to even enjoy yourself. We stayed until closing on Sunday. Sunday after 9pm or so was great. Monday was so bad that we actually spent most of the day at DCA which was much lighter. Tuesday was much lighter and then Wednesday seemed to pick back up again. There were a lot of people from Australia and Arizona there. I think half of their kids were out of school.

I-5 was a disaster on Sunday around where the tunnel fire was in Santa Clarita. We waited in traffic for almost 3 hours!!!! :scared1: It took us that long to go 2 miles. It was the worst pain ever knowing you were so close to DL and not being able to move. So anyway... a rocky start but we still had a great time. All the same, I don't think we'll ever go in October again. I'll be putting together a "Video Trip Report" soon and I'll share the link.

I am in Disneyland right now, well at my hotel! Today was CRAZY! It was packed, like summer packed. I was here at the end of June, and I believe today was more packed than June! We went back in at about 8pm and the lines to get into the park were all the way back to California Adventure! Walking through the lands was nuts!

We are spending tomorrow at CA, hoping it won't be so bad!

Too funny - we were there because of Fall Break at our school in AZ. Our hotel was full of men from Australia. I think they may have been with some sort of car group. I finally asked a guy at breakfast what the heck was going on. He asked me if I felt like I was in a foreign country ;) He said there were about 80 people in his Australian tour group.

While the crowds were more than what I wanted on Sunday and Monday... it was still a wonderful trip.

We are here now too. Well actually in our room since it is 1:26 am!
We came back to our room late in the afternoon so that we could take a nap. We were excited to go back and get into some short lines! Yeah Right! The line to get back into DL was all the way to the C of DCA. Crazy!! We decided not to stay and enjoyed dinner at Rainforest. Yum! We took the Monorail from there and hit 5 rides in 1 1/2 hours! We were so jazzed. We were all rested up with no place to go so were glad to get some of our energy out. I was pouting though because I really wanted my girls to see the fireworks and Fantasmic and we weren't able too since we didn't get to the park til 10:30.
I agree with the summer crowds being less than tonight! Parking was insane!!! All the parking lots were filled and we were able to grab the last couple of one of the lots. It was way worse than Spring break!!!; Oh well. We ended the night good. That's what counts!
