Hi All, We are currently planning two trips to DL/CA, one in March and one in Dec. Are the photopass photographers easy to find at both parks? Also is there usually someone that is able to take your photo with your camera, like at the characters, etc. if no photopass people are around. Also what is the best time of day to find them, also what is the best time of day to find characters?

Also is the Beach Blast Santa at CA easy to find and do they usually have a photopass person there? Sorry so many questions but I would really like a lot of photos from both trips.

Any and all advice and help is greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks so much.:)

Hi! I can tell you that the photopass photographers are VERY easy to find! They are Everywhere! They'll take your picture with their camera (so you can put it on your pass) AND/or with your own if you want!

And yes, there is always a helper with the characters. They will take your picture, no problem. I *think* (though I can't remember for sure) that a lot of times they have a camera too and will scan your pass for that also. NEVER feel guilty or whatever for asking them to use your camera! They are always 100% willing.

The photopass people are out all day. I saw them everywhere I went - basically all day. As for the characters - I couldn't believe how many were out at DL. At DW it can take me YEARS to fill an autograph book (yes, I'm a nerd). In about 4 days at DL I Almost completely filled one. Of course, I skip every other page so I can add a picture. But still!!! I didn't notice a "time of day" for them though. I think at night we didn't see may - but during the day they were everywhere.

I'm not sure about the Santa as I've never been to DL at Christmas!

Thank you SO much, this is helpful. I am interested in hearing more from others, all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks a million.:goodvibes

The Photopass photographers are all over the place. A few places that I have always seen them, not matter the time of day are:

just behind the entrance to DL. (Mickey topiary)
by the Walt & Mickey statue and/or in front of the Castle.
Mickey's House in Tootown.
Princess Fantasy Faire
by the Pooh characters between Splash Mountain & Pooh's Adventure
on either/both sides of the Golden Gate Bridge inside DCA

During Christmas time, they had them by the Christmas tree in DL. I also remember seeing them at the DLH, where there was a sled and tree set-up, by Goofy's Kitchen.

The above character locations are the only ones that I can remember had a Photopass photographer. If you see other characters roaming around, the handler will gladly take a picture using your camera, but will not have a Photopass camera.

Yeah, I reached 100 posts. :yay: :yay: :yay:

Yes Beach Blast Santa is very easy to find - he's straight in front of you when you enter the park. And yes, there was a Photopass person there every time we went by New Year's week. There was also little or no wait to see him, but we were there after XMAS. He was actually lonely just sitting there a few times when we went by.

I forgot about this question. I took my DD there in mid-Nov and got there just as Santa was going on a break. We waited about 5 minutes and he came back. We were first in line and DD got a lot of attention because we waited.

There are also other character meets in that general vacinity. We got to see Stitch right after Santa, who had a Photopass photographer. Mickey & Minnie were there about an hour later wearing Christmas outfits.

We went in early December and there were photopass people by the DCA letters, between the two parks.

Thank you all so much, it sounds like it should be pretty easy to find them. Thank you all.:goodvibes
