DL App Questions

Hi, Al!!

WDW pro, DL novice here.

At WDW, the MDE app is the repository for everything. Resort stays and details, tickets, photos, friends and family, etc.

I’ve used the DL app on my few visits, but I didn’t realize there is no connection to resorts on the app, and I am also trying to learn the ins and outs of connecting with people to book boarding groups for RoTR and Webslingers. I was alone the previous trips, and I enjoyed being able to use the app for tickets well before WDW added the option, not to mention MaxPass (I wish that was back!).

I will be visiting in a few weeks with my husband and sister in law, staying at the DLH. Hubby has a Disney account, but sister in law does not. And I’d like to manage everyone in mine in any case. When we get the tickets next week and book park reservations, can I put everyone’s ticket/profile on my account in the DL app? I don’t see a Friends and Family option in the app, am I missing it?

Thanks for any tips and insights!

There isn’t a Friends and Family thing like WDW. So yes, you should scan everyone’s tickets into your app/account.

For Boarding Groups, either they also need to scan everyone’s ticket into their app with their login so they have the whole party’s tickets OR you will need to login using your account (that has all the tickets in it) on their device(s). The same ticket can be scanned into multiple accounts.

Since the app is also used for things like mobile ordering food and the card in the account that’s signed in will be charged for mobile orders, if you plan to pay separately for food it may make more sense for your SIL to make an account of her own and set all that up.

Thanks! Great info.

Sister in law is pretty clueless, so we will just handle it all, including mobile ordering.
