I bought a Disneyland annual passport from the Disney Store today (did you hear, Disney bought them back!:cool1: )

It was a big step for me but I'm glad I did it. I bought the Southern California Select pass (150 days) but I plan on upgrading when I go to Disneyland in April if I decide I'll be going more during the blackout dates

BUT ANYWHO

What are the perks for having an annual pass?

Copied from the DL site:

The Southern California Select Annual Passport includes these benefits:

• Enjoy 170 pre-selected days of admission to both Disneyland® Resort Theme Parks.

• 10% dining discount at select Disneyland® Resort restaurants ($10 minimum purchase; restrictions apply)

• Special rates at the Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort (subject to availability; restrictions apply)

• Exclusive benefits at select Downtown Disney® District locations

• An annual parking pass for the Mickey & Friends parking structure is available for an additional $59. (subject to availability; restrictions apply).

Did you have a specific question?

I presume that you got one of the "plastic credit card type" AP's and it will only start when you arrive for your first day at DL.

Have you tried to use the numbers on the back of that card to access the AP only portion of Disney web sites?

Specifically,

https://secure.disney.go.com/disney...ated/landing?name=AnnualPassholderLandingPage

I have seen reports that you must have your permanent pass numbers to be able to gain access to the Special Offers and such. I have also seen reports that some people are able to create an account from their temporary passes.

I am planning on picking some up too, later in the year though unless it will get me into the AP portion of the site.

I just tried both bar code numbers and neither of them are valid. I'll just have to wait until I go.

I've seen a lot of people who say if they buy online they can access the website by punching in the bar code on their E-ticket.

Do you know which stores they are gonna close? I wonder if they are keeping mine in metrotown

What the manager at my Disney Store speculated from hearing talks were that they would keep 2/3 of the stores that are open now. The 1/3 that will be closing isn't set in stone yet but they think some in the South and lower economy states that aren't doing well.
