Since there's an extended closure for the Teppan Edo/Tokyo Dining restaurant in Japan, Disney Dining could not book any of the food and wine pairings that were supposed to take place there. However, I saw someone post (and she knows who she is) that she'll just do her own sushi event at Kimono's.

That made me think... [GASTON] (a dangerous pastime, I know...) [/GASTON]

Why not have a do-it-yourself sushi and sake pairing at Kimono's for anyone missing out on those Mondays during the festival! I figure, I won't be getting my sushi at the event, I might as well go to Kimono's instead :)

The target date for the Japan restaurants opening again was October 15th, the day of the alleged pairing I wanted to book. I'll keep checking back with Disney Dining up until that date to see if they'll still hold the event, but until I know anything further, I think Kimono's is the way to go.

Anyone else plan to do something to get their sushi fix? :D

I like your idea.
Plus that way, you get more than just Tuna.

Hmm, I will need a break from paper writing that day.

Life would be boring if all we got was 'just Tuna' :cutie:
Doesn't look like people want to chime in about it just yet.
