I work with a small group of women. Several of us used to go to Weight Watchers meetings but we stopped, most of us due to the cost. I personally decided it was smarter to spend the money on a family gym membership.

I've been thinking about starting some kind of weight loss support at work ourselves but I have no idea how to do it! Anybody ever done anything like that?

I'd love any ideas for incentives. The best I've got is a weekly pool for the biggest loser - $1 each or something? C'mon guys, let your imagination run wild and give me some great suggestions!!!! TIA!~

There used to be a group of us lowcarbers at my job. At one point about 10-15 of us met in the cafeteria for lunch once per week. It was nice to have the companionship of others who were eating the same way. We would share our losses for the week or talk about frustrating situations and how we overcame them. It was very encouraging.

Another group of girls did their own WW meetings. The firm even provided a scale so everyone could weigh themselves and they met once per week as well. I like your idea of a financial incentive too. Honestly, though for me, the best part was feeling accountable once per week and knowing we would get together to support each other.

Sorry I don't have any other eye catching suggestions, I just know that the weekly support meant an awful lot to me and I was sad when people started to fall away from the group. I wish you and your group the best!!!!
