Two questions...

I think my DD6 will be all over the "My Little Pony" stuff. Does anyone have any pics? Are the ponies "special", or can I go ahead of time to Walmart and get her a pony, and just get the Disney accessories?

ALSO, I think there was a thread about a DIY BBB. Does anyone have it?

TIA

The My Little Pony at Once Upon a Toy is no longer there. They only have Mr Potato Head.

I've done the BBB look by myself. I brought a dress and crown from home, along with glitter gel, nail polish and some make-up. I heavily gelled her hair and put it in the bun with the crown, did her make-up and painted her nails. Then use lots of hairspray. Viola, BBB on a budget.

That's a shame--my kids loved it.

Though it is moot--what we did, is we just bought the accessories as they were disney exclusive. But I imagine they either didn't sell very well or did not profit as they would have liked. If you didn't do the pony, you could collect a lot of stuff.

My Little Pony is gone?! That is awful! My now 5 year old LOVED filling her box with the Little Pony items. She has a HUGE box of all the stuff and still plays with it two years later.

We did Mr. Potato Head our last time and after out hotel room she wasn't interested. I think it's currently in her closet.

She will be sad to hear that she won't be able to add to her collection.

Thats what I did. I bought glitter hairspray from Walmart. Looked even cuter than what the BBB does, and no painful ponytail!

Oh no!!! Does anyone know if there is anywhere that they have the MLP boxes you fill up anywhere @ Disney? My 5 year old dd was looking forward to that more than almost anything for our 1st trip to DW in 2 weeks-the big kids wanted to do Mr. Potato head, and she has been talking non stop about MLP, please say it isn't so!!!!!

You can't fill the MLP box anywhere anymore. But they did/do have a box of MLB stuff for sale at DTD for 9.99 at Mickey's Mart.

I have a whole shoebox bin full of MLP that DD no longer plays with. I'm willing to ship it....PM me

Another thing you can do... get a Happy Hair-Do at the Harmony Barber Shop. It is $7.50 and they put the hair up, put on colored gels and then add in confetti shaped like Mickey. It is not as "Princess" looking as the Bippity hairstyle, but my DD went nuts over it and got tons of attention from everyone that day!

When my DD was 5 we took her to the BBB and she got the rockstar hair. It was around $50 to get made up but worth every penny. She wore a plain shirt with Princess on it and got a sash. Everywhere we went thoughout the MK and the next day they addressed her as Princess. I plan on going there with my youngest when we go in October.

By all means if you need to stay within a budget, do the hairstyle yourself. I believe you can even buy the same crown for less than $10.00. However, for my 4 year old, it was the experience she loved the most. It was magical for her. I'll never forget her expression, when her fairy godmother turned her around to see herself in the mirror. She was truly a Disney princess that day! Even her older brothers sat down to watch and their expressions were also precious.

To save money, I purchased her Tiana dress at the Disney Store and we only did the basic package but she was thrilled and when they gave her the rest of the fingernail polish and makeup in a fufu little bag, she was over the moon! I wouldn't do it every trip but it was definitely worth the price for the experience!
