I would love an ABD trip to hit all the Asia Disney parks. Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Japan. I think so many people have visiting all the Disney Theme Parks on their "Bucket List". I am doing London/ Paris this year, and thinking Asia either 2016 or 2017. I figure as long as you are paying for a flight to Asia, you might as well hit all the parks.
What would you plan as your own personal ABD style side excursions in each area. Do you think two weeks would be enough time?

I would try to follow as much of the ABD itinerary for Hong Kong and Shanghai as possible. For Japan I would research tours offered there and decide what was important to me, then make my own package.

You may want to consult a specialist who books travel in Asia that ca cater a trip to your needs. I have a few friends who have done this -- they provide English speaking guides and arrange all internal flights for you. Before we booked ABD China for next year I consulted Chinese Culture Tours and they were very helpful.

Due to the language and culture differences, I wouldn't want to attempt to navigate Asia on my own.

Let us know what you decide! We are really hoping Shanghai Disney is open when we are there next July!

Maybe Disney cruise line will eventually make it there-with options to do a park day in each of the three cities or something else if people don't want to overdose on Disney parks (if that is even possible)...

I would definitely prefer to do an "Authorized" Disney trip if I could do it all in one trip. ABD and a cruise would be awesome! It would be fun to travel with others that want to fulfill this Disney fantasy too.
I will start my travel notebook for this trip and appreciate all tips and advice. I will definitely seek professional tour assistance if Disney doesn't come up with an option.
