A short time ago they stopped the ability to trade the divers suit. Also today I did the game and got a bad code. :confused3

I decided to just sell my extra suit back to vmk and got 60 credits for it.

Cheops, try entering the code again. Sometimes the quest cards even come up saying it is not a valid code. Enter the code again and you should be fine.

Tried the code a few times it comes up invalid.

I also tried to trade a diver suit with someone and you can no longer trade them. I wonder why.

On the one hand, it's kind of a bummer. On the other, I think it's a good sign that they intend to keep the game (and prize) around indefinitely. And, it's nice that it means that everyone from now on who gets the suit will have gone through the puzzles!

I had wanted (and still want!) to find the time to solve the puzzles myself, but was worried that the suit would be gone before I got the chance to play. Having the suit non-tradable insures that there won't be a huge "glut" of suits out there that might make them want to retire the suit early (I hope).

On the (3rd) hand, this is a SEVERE bummer for those who have not been able to get the game to work at all, and so have no way to obtain it (like Cursed Storm, for beta players).

They are really taking the fun out of this game! :badpc:

Well, since you get a code and not the actual suit in your inventory, really you can just give a friend the code if they are not able to get it themselves, and they can enter it on their own character.

Hope that helps you out there that still haven't gotten your suit! :)

Good call!! that will work!
Thank you

wow! its things like this is why i am playing more BF1942 and RoN online than vmk- they just have to mess with everything dont they? it would be like the government saying what prices we sell stuff for and how much we make, in short IMHO vmk staff should not mess with the economics of the game.

That's not good. I had another person to trade one to.:( Rats. And, I know she wanted it, too. I gave her one this morning but she gave it to another kid who couldn't get one because her computer won't load the game. That's kind of yucky from the game makers imho.

Update, I was able to trade her a code, though! Yay!:)

i don't mind that they made the suit untradable but they shouldn't of lowered the price of what you can trade it in for. Now it's 60 where as a couple days ago it was 150!

Not to beat up VMK more than it has been these past few days, however this is just another example of either poor quality assurance or things not getting thought through.

You would think that someone there would have thought that with the internet and message boards the methods of how to solve the game would have been posted within hours. With that in mind it shouldn't have been tradable from the get go, but that seemed to slip past.

THe other example recently was the prices of the new items in the Emporium. Not that I bought any, but I heard prices went up and down for some items within a 24 hour period.

I don't know, maybe it is just me, but I can never forget teachers yelling all the time saying, "Be sure to check your work before handing it in!"

I'm very confused about why they needed to disable trade on this item? For that matter I don't understand why its disabled on the kelloggs magic pins either. Another thing is.. Why oh why does the helmet cost 2000 credits?? Thats just crazy. I don't even like that thing it covers everyones face and hair. The only reason I would buy one is possibly for the trade value at some point, but now since I'm working on another project in the game I'd rather spend credits on that.

Hmm... let's analyze these facts:

*Diving suit becomes untradable
*Diving helmet costs 2000 credits
*Diving ensemble therefore becomes hottest commodity
*VMK @#%$ with this just to get on our nerves

My $0.02: VMK had better come up with a good princely outfit to match up with the Princess dresses, or had better make the HM Tuxes affordable, or I am going all the way to Cleveland to kick some... arm.

I guess I will defend VMK on this one - since I've complained about them on other topics.

Yes, I think they knew that the answers would get out and that several people would solve it, share solutions and help their friends and whatnot by either getting suits to give them or helping them solve the puzzles themselves. And maybe they thought there was nothing wrong with that. Afterall, sharing and helping others is not out of line with Disney's image.

But, at the same time, there was certainly a possibility for these diver suits (like all those Hidden Mickey photos and, for that matter, the Kellogg's magic pins) to fill up VMK and, fates forbid, slow down the game. So maybe, just maybe, after giving us a week or so to share them with friends or cash them in at a "special" price, they have changed them to what will be the permanent method of delivery and sell-back price. Think of last week as a special introductory offer.

As for the price of the helmet ... well, economic decisions are a part of everything. You can get a helmet ... or you can get four skeleton chairs. You decide. It's not real money, so I don't really care too much what VMK charges, and ultimately we all have to decide what is "worth it." (Do I really want to Ned for 3 hours for THAT?)

That covers the diver suit and helmet. I can't explain the price jumps at the Emporium. VMK is on their own on that one!

Ok - here is a question. What if I have codes for the diver suit from the mules that I had - that I have not used yet. Can I still give them out to the people I was originally going to trade too?

yes you can! That's how I've been doing it.

Rumor has it that you can now re-trade the suits and it was an error, although I do need someone to test this.

this is good to know LOL. Yesterday I was torturing people who were advertising they were selling their diver suits. I would say I will trade you inferno for that diver suit, knowing they couldnt lol. They would immediately get into trade and then all i could see were alot of ###s LOL. Yes it was very mean. but it was also very fun LOL.
