Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I can't begin to tell you how I always wanted to be Natasha -- she had such a cool name and accent.

I think we are going to get a couple of the Rocky and Bullwinkle seasons for Connor for Christmas -- we have an old tape, and he got such a kick out of watching them -- his favorite was when Boris and Natasha decided to start counterfeiting cereal box tops.

Oh yeah, every kid NEEDS to have Rocky and Bullwinkle in their repertoire! And I can't tell you how many times I was forced to edure Natasha jokes as a kid... Everytime I head "You're Mom's from RUSSIA!" I knew what was coming next. :rotfl:

CP, I'm wondering if you think my DS would enjoy the Kim Possible missions? He's four, so I'm wondering if the attention span would be sufficient. My husband really wants to give it a go, I'm sure we could try one? Just wondering what you think.

Oh, I think DS would get a kick out of it -- most certainly. It is very interactive within the pavilions themselves, and each mission only lasts about twenty minutes or so.

We've done that before too, the different hats in different spots! It is so much fun! I loved it when DS was an unsuspecting baby, it was so easy to just pop one on his head and snap a quick pick. Although, last year we got a fantastic shot of him in the huge sombreros they have in Mexico.

He he he! I bet those baby pictures are hysterically funny!

I can't wait to see the accomplished sitar player.

Again, some of my favorite photos of the trip.

The photos of Chelsea and Connor are so cute.

Thank you! They are completely shameless hams!

Connor must have been thrilled that he finally got to do not one, but two KP missions. We did the one in China in August and it was cute. Did you get two different fast passes in order to do two missions?

No, the phone just asked if we wanted to do another mission after completing each one.

Can't wait to see the henna!

I love getting henna tattoos -- I think because I love the smell of it!

You must be thrilled that you're so close to an adults only trip. Disney is such a different experience without kids. Have you convinced Charles that a 2010 trip is necessary?

We are so looking forward to it -- it's hard to believe it is less than two weeks away now!

Super update!! Your kids are so cute... and little hams.

Thank you! Yes, they are little hams! :lmao:

I love World Showcase too. I am really excited to try Kim Possible but as many missions as he wanted??? Yikes. I will think of you in the tea shop! Hopefully people don't make fun of the 30-something woman trying to save the world. Can you choose where your adventure is or is it the luck of the draw?

I am not sure if you can choose or not in the beginning -- you probably can -- after completing the first mission you can choose another from the menu.

I am sure you are not the first adult to do the KP mission. :goodvibes

Ooh you got henna... can't wait to see what design you chose. Did you also get a tangerine daquiri by chance?

You shall see...:rolleyes1 ;)

Fun trip around (and back and forth) through World Showcase! Your kids take such beautiful pictures! I especially love all the hats, they are too cute! And, Happy Birthday Connor!

Thank you! We had a lot of fun in World Showcase even though it was so hot that day!

I just found your TR and have enjoyed the entire thing so far. I love the AKL now because of your pictures!

:welcome: AKL is so beautiful and exotic -- it truly feels very removed from the craziness of the parks.

Hurray!...I love that Connor got to do more Kim Possible Missions-I have to admit ...I liked them too...a lot...a lot a lot...(I would do them without the kids...:confused3...:goodvibes)

I agree that the KP missions are really neat -- but in the heat, one was more than enough for me. ;)

Such a cute idea-the hats-you have great photos -I like all of them but the one in Canada...posing in different head wear...in the different countries...

Chelsea wants to make a collage with the pictures and various other things. In fact, I should remind her about that! I think it will look very cute when she is finished.

Chelsea and Connor enjoy WS-but actually that's a great parent idea for kids who aren't into the natural charm and atmosphere of World Showcase...-have them search each country for headgear...you've got yourself a great mom Epcot tip there..;)

You are so right! :thumbsup2

I'm glad Connor enjoyed his fandex...:yay:...you'll find it helpful too in trying to keep up with some of the lesser known characters...(I reference it...)...

I have found myself picking it up a couple of times today to browse through! Connor may be getting the presidential one when we head to Epcot in a couple of weeks! :thumbsup2

Hmmm...so who enjoyed the surprise visit from Hans Solo more, you or Connor...:rolleyes1

:rotfl: Oh, it was me without a doubt. ;)

Oh, I want that Four Parks, One World CD!!!

I'm going to have to look for it online.

It is a fabulous CD!

Chelsea looks all "america's next top model" in the glam shot in canada!

I will have to let her know that you said that, Julie, because she loves that show! It will make her day!

You are a trooper to allow Connor to do all those Kimpossible missions!

I don't think I really thought about the ramifications of it...

Thank you! I think we might do it too. Where exactly in Georgia are you? We were supposed to move to there a few years ago but we couldn't sell the house.

We are in the Atlanta area -- near enough to the city to go do all the fun stuff, but far enough out so we don't feel like we are in the big city.

A couple of days late but Happy Birthday to Connor. It looks like he had a good day.

Thank you! Yes, Connor had a great birthday.

That is a really great idea of the kids taking pictures with the hats of each country. I really like the one of them in Canada. I am also happy Connor got to do his missions also. Looking forward to seeing the Henna.

Chelsea was the mastermind and planner behind the hat pictures! :rotfl:

Connor was thrilled to have that Kimmunicator back in his hands.

How did I get pages behind on this TR??:confused3 Anyway..love the evening at AKL & the African Queen. What a nice way to spend time & then drinks & pool time:cloud9: AH Boma. Love love love this place!! We go for breakfast or dinner every trip. Um I probably should not admit this but I have used the strap on Soarin (I am only 5 feet after all) but have not used it on the last few flights.
I think I feel safe enough without it now:rotfl2:.

I am only 5'2" and I have entertained the notion of using the center strap -- just in case and all...

CP I know how you feel on leaving the kids to go on a trip. I am planning our 25th anniv. trip for May & am having a hard time thinking about going without our 2 sons & they are 20 & 16 :lmao: Friends are telling me to get a life
I think I will be calling today to make our reservations.

Happy belated birthday to Connor!!

You understand exactly how I am feeling! Even my mom told me to stop feeling guilty. So, I am trying very hard not to!

Did you call today??? Calling to make a trip reservation is always such a good feeling!

Thank you for Connor's birthday wishes -- he had a wonderful day yesterday!

Love love love that Notre Dame gargoyle ! I just bought a 1' replica at Michael's today ! Connor is so darn cute !!!!

Thank you! How neat! I need to head to Michael's soon -- did they have all their Halloween stuff out?

Oh yeah, every kid NEEDS to have Rocky and Bullwinkle in their repertoire! And I can't tell you how many times I was forced to edure Natasha jokes as a kid... Everytime I head "You're Mom's from RUSSIA!" I knew what was coming next. :rotfl:

Oh, heavens! I bet that got old pretty darn quick!

Sounds like Connor had a great day!! I'm sure these past 10 years have flown right by for you.

All the hat pics in WS are so fun! That Bullwinkle hat is just hilarious. :lmao:

I'm curious as to how many Kim Possible missions you ended up doing...:rolleyes1 :scared:

Sounds like Connor had a great day!! I'm sure these past 10 years have flown right by for you.

They really have, and when I see pictures of your Henry or Heidi's Liam, it really hits me how quickly they have flown by because I remember Connor being that adorable little toddler not that long ago!

All the hat pics in WS are so fun! That Bullwinkle hat is just hilarious. :lmao:

They had me cracking up -- especially because they insisted on posing with the maple syrup also.

I'm curious as to how many Kim Possible missions you ended up doing...:rolleyes1 :scared:

I was wondering that myself by the end of the second one.

Oh, thank you so much for the Kim Possible info. I think it's something will definitely try! :goodvibes

I have to agree with you - the UK mission (especially the tea shop portion) was awesome! It felt very covert... :)

Love the hat pictures - fun idea!!

I have many Virgos' in my life. My DH, my oldest DS, my mother, my grandmother and one of best friends. September is pretty busy for me. Which is why I missed that last update and wishing Connor Happy birthday. It was Dh's b-day over the weekend too. I know my DS11 said to me last week on his 11th birthday "Now that I've moved into double digits it's all down hill from here". I had to remind him that he was 11 and not 111.

Great update and pictures! I love the hats, so much fun! And the one of Connor with the gargoyle is a great one!

Happy Belated Birthday to your boy as well!

Glad he got to get his KP groove on! Maybe Bashful and I will give it another try when she has her trip and we'll have better luck with it!

Allyson

2 missions down, how many to go?

I love the 2 pensive fellows.

Ah, Morocco + Shwarma= yumm-o!! I especially liked the lamb.:thumbsup2

Great updates! I am all caught up!

I love the idea of wearing hats around the world and taking pics. SO adorable for scrapbooking. Your kids are adorable. Love watching them ham it up at WDW!!

I wanted to ask you, do you know of anywhere else besides AKL we can get Zebra Domes. I am dying to try them, but we are not stoping there on our next trip. Thanks!! Looking forward to more of your trip!

Don't mean to rush you or anything Jackie, but we only have 10 days time to get choppin':rotfl2:
We tried to do the hats too but it started pouring and so we were stuck in China. (We saw Mulan like 10 times):rotfl:
Do you have plans for your trip yet or are you just going to wham it?

Don't feel bad going on a trip with out the kids. They'll have fun with who ever you leave them with because they can get away with more, and they'll behave better once you come back because they missed you. Just don't go to Disney world or they'll never forgive you. I brought it up to DH going a weekend a month before our trip and the kids started freaking out! Emily said "If you go I'll never forgive you.":scared1: We had blackout dates anyway.
Anyways have a good night :surfweb:

Hey Jackie- as always, I love your PTR's and TR's!!! We just got back and I thought of you all in AK! Just catching up.

Hope you have a wonderful school year!

Lori

Thank you, everyone, for the great birthday wishes for Connor! He really got a kick out of reading them! We had a lot of fun celebrating all things Connor today although I caught myself a few times thinking, "How can he possibly be ten already?"

There were a lot of Star Wars gifts -- especially Legos -- but my favorite gift was Connor's new Star Wars fandex -- very cool (thanks Patricia for finding that for David months ago)!

And there was even a special visitor that came to hang out (he arrived with the Fandex LOL!) with Connor and my nephew Will...

Gotta love it when Han Solo shows up!

I have no idea what a Fandex is, but I just have to say, you gotta love Flat Han! You should take him to DHS for SWW next time for sure!:thumbsup2

Something about this picture is magical. Can't pinpoint it...has a very romantic feel to it...or something.

It must be the peaceful look of the bacteria ridden water, or the Eiffel Tower in the back ground...heeheee

No, I agree, Jordan, it is a pretty picture and may look peaceful for lack of crowds in it!
