Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

Goodness gracious! Believe it or not the latest update was just yesterday morning.

Oh, I knew the last update had come not too long before my desire to request a new one ...........and I know you want to draaaaaaag this one out and I am "sort of" ok with that :sad2:........honestly, I was just wanting to get the attention focused somewhere else.........you know, away from what might have caused your "minor" moment!!  :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Hey!!! Sorry I'm joining in so late. I'm only on page 25, so I'm catching up!!

That's awesome you were able to get an upgrade!!! The kids mickey ears turned out really cute, and your family is adorable.

You got to see a rainbow in the MK!! SO cool!!

Ok off to read more.

There are those in this world who would say we are sick individuals.

Then they need more pixie dust in their lives. :wizard::laughing:

Now, see, there is a job for me. I could just go around with other people's kids all day doing missions while the parents had free time to go do other things! :thumbsup2

I would be happy to come and work for you. ;)

And I would gladly pay someone to follow along with my kids while they thwart evil with the Kimmunicator.

Goodness your TR was lively yesterday! :goodvibes I was pages behind....!

So sorry about the 'diva moment' at Epcot, but I agree like everyone else-it was completely understandable considering the situation. I am certain I would have reacted in a veryyyy similar fashion!

The KP missions sound really fun! Thankfully Henry is not old enough to read yet (or even realize what we are doing!)...gonna milk that while I can...hee hee. ;)

Otherwise, it looks like a great day at Epcot! I'm happy to read you liked your food at EU, our burgers were awful there-we must have hit it on a bad day!

Hunger, heat, and fatigue really do a number on me and my mood.

Enjoy the days when Henry can't read because once he does, it is all over!

The food at EU could very well have been completely atrocious, but I was so hungry, I wouldn't have noticed.

:goodvibes
Thanks!!!!! We're very excited!

When is your due date, Cass?

Oh, you were trying to divert attention...I understand now...

:welcome: So glad you came over, Lynn! Thank you for all the compliments! I loved seeing that rainbow!

I have an AP so you just let me know the next time you are going to be in Epcot. Am I allowed to drink adult beverages while accompanying your children on their quest to save the world? :rotfl:

Bag question:

Jackie, I love your Vera Bradley hipster. Did you carry ponchos into the park? Curious if ponchos, a wallet, cell phone, and other things would fit.

Aw, I always seem to become moody at EPCOT.
It has to do with all the walking around a big circle of countries and I just .. LOSE IT!

Nope, we are brave, reckless fools that never carry ponchos with us. ;)

Now, I know a wallet, cell phone, and odds and ends would fit, but I am not sure if ponchos would fit. Now, the mailbag by Vera Bradley is a bit bigger but a similar style -- it would probably hold all of that. :thumbsup2

:lmao: The sad thing is that we only made it as far as China before I snapped (and we started in Mexico). :rotfl2:

I thought I had already replied!:headache: GREAT update Jackie! First of all I thought it was adorable that Connor stuck up for you and told the CM at Stormstruck that you were scared of storms...HOW SWEET!:lovestruc I am SOOOO with you on the Orange side of Mission Space (blech) The Kim Possible Missions are such a double edge sword, SO FUN but 1 is PLENTY in that ungodly heat! We ran into this problem ALOT! I do not blame you one bit for pitching a fit, you work so hard to plan everything out and no one cares at the time to pay attention , you're left alone with the kids quite a bit so far on your trip and in one fell swoop your DH starts a mutiny!! I would have been mad too! I am glad at least the food was decent at Electric Umbrella!:goodvibes

Ohh thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out tonight.
Or I can just get the hipster and dump the poncho's in my 1 yr old nephew's stroller.

Your diva moment sounds like the one I had with my cousins back in 2007. Our first trip and I had spent all year planning and my cousin michael the first night at the WL had already been in a mood for a few days. I snapped. Because in a way when these men do these things they don't realize they are ruining the picture in our heads that have been in our heads since the begining of all this! I would have snapped too TBH, its just how I am.

Just getting all caught up.
My thoughts:
So that's what happened to your phone.
Loved the giraffe close up.
The Mickey bars melting cracked me up!
I thought the lunchtime Diva was Charles :rotfl2: You deserved to let off a little steam!

Love everything you've shared so far. This reminds me why MY DH vacations in the mountains of the West while DS and I go to WDW! The one time he came with us was very reminiscent of this...

Can't wait to read more!

Ackkkki!:scared1: I kissed a boy who kissed like that once - just once.

:scared1:

oh, i have an ex-boyfriend who kissed like this!!!! gross. i remember....i was 15 years old and we were at a friend's party and on a hayride. well, he decided to lay one on me (the first and last time he ever kissed me, by the way) and i swear my head was hanging off the back of the wagon - not the most comfortable place to be kissed! he was the worst kisser ever. when we got back to the house i went to the bathroom and you could see where all the makeup was gone from under my nose, all around my mouth and down to my chin. SO GROSS!!! i think i broke up with him later that night. :rotfl2:

Also, as we were getting off the safari on Sunday, Connor said to us, “I would like the safari more if the animals were real. It’s such a letdown knowing they are animatronics.” We about died laughing and explained to him that they were in fact real animals on the safari. I don’t know where he got the idea that they weren’t real -- maybe because they are animatronics on the Jungle Cruise.

that is so cute! i bet he saw something on TV about the animatronic animals at MK and thought they were all that way at WDW.

Now, this is where it all began to go downhill. After completing the Norway mission, the phone gave us the option to complete another one. Thanks, Disney, I really appreciate that. Connor had grandiose ideas of completing all six of the other missions and, without asking, chose Japan as our next stop. Um, no, I was not trekking all the way around the lagoon to do another mission!

see, i think i agree with you here. i totally think the idea is really cool and i'm sure it's awesome for the kids. but it's like you need an entire day to dedicate to it so that the kids don't have to be disappointed not to keep going. it's crazy to think that you have to run from one country to another on a time schedule! i mean, i know it's disney world and the kids are the reason you're there but this is YOUR vacation, too!

Thrusting the map at Charles, I hissed (I never yell at Disney ;)), “You know what? I spend a year planning our vacations here, and in the space of five minutes, you manage to turn all those plans on their ears. Well, I quit. You decide where we are going to eat. You decide what we are going to do. You are the official planner for the rest of the afternoon. But we need to eat soon because we are hungry and if we wait much longer we won‘t be hungry for Rose and Crown at dinner.”

i have SO had moments like this with ray! i TOTALLY get it!

I can’t cope when I am hungry.

i'm exactly like this too. sometimes judges and attorneys will "work through lunch" and we end up not finishing until like 4:00 and by then i'm DONE!!!! i don't mind doing it but i hate not knowing ahead of time because if i know i will eat a big breakfast....otherwise it's my standard oatmeal or fiber one bar and that's it. anywayz, i know how you feel about the lack of food = lack of patience thing!

hope the break in the afternoon provides for a better evening!

Aw you know I was really hoping you would be going back to Disney in June so maybe I had a 1/2 chance to meet you next summer!!! So much for that brilliant idea!!! No Disney next summer?!! Well, Key West is nice... :goodvibes

And we all have PTRs to do, it seems... I am still stuck on day four of this trip!!! I want to wait on the December one until I reach a number I can count down from without loosing track!!!! October on the other hand....:rolleyes1 I can't wait to hear how the rest of Epcot unfolded, and I can't wait to hear about your ideas and plans for the F & W!!!!
:surfweb:

Oh no about the phone but yay for the new one! How cute is that!? He thought the animals were fake. Well....the mess at the end probably threw the poor kid off. :lmao: Look how well they "look" to be getting along doing the Kim Possible thing. What's the secret!? Please share!

Can't wait to see how you like the Rose and Crown!

I have been sooo busy lately I havent even had time to update my tr. I will work on it this weekend, promise. I keep saying im going to and then dont.

Thanks, Diane! I was so tickled by Connor's comment at Storm Struck. Those KP missions are fun -- it's the aftermath that got to me on Monday. Now, on Friday...:rolleyes1 Charles was right about the Lotus Blossom menu -- the kids' meal was a chicken drumstick and Connor does not eat chicken on a bone, but it was still so frustrating!

Ohh thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out tonight.

Did you buy something last night?

That is exactly what it was -- ruining the picture in my head of how the day should go!

I can't wait to have drinks with you. :thumbsup2

We will have a blast, I just know it!

:rotfl2: It is so, so true.

::yes::

Just getting all caught up.

Yes, that's what happened to my phone -- and it got worse as the week went on -- it was so annoying!

Oh, we all had our very own special Diva moments that week -- every last one of us.

Love everything you've shared so far. This reminds me why MY DH vacations in the mountains of the West while DS and I go to WDW! The one time he came with us was very reminiscent of this...

:welcome: Maybe next time I will send Charles off to a different spot...:rolleyes1

Dawn, you are too funny! I would have broken up with that guy, too!

that is so cute! i bet he saw something on TV about the animatronic animals at MK and thought they were all that way at WDW.

I just can't wrap my mind around how he thought the safari animals were fake -- especially after the giraffe encounter. :rotfl:

Exactly -- or Disney just needs to do one mission at a time, so parents aren't left being the bad guys.

i have SO had moments like this with ray! i TOTALLY get it!

Don't they understand that we can't handle having our expertise questioned? :lmao:

i'm exactly like this too. sometimes judges and attorneys will "work through lunch" and we end up not finishing until like 4:00 and by then i'm DONE!!!! i don't mind doing it but i hate not knowing ahead of time because if i know i will eat a big breakfast....otherwise it's my standard oatmeal or fiber one bar and that's it. anywayz, i know how you feel about the lack of food = lack of patience thing!

hope the break in the afternoon provides for a better evening!

It does! :thumbsup2

I know -- I am swamped by waves of sadness every time I think about not going to Disney next summer. :(

Have you been to Key West before? We have never been and are looking forward to it, but am completely clueless about anything since none of us have ever been.

And we all have PTRs to do, it seems... I am still stuck on day four of this trip!!! I want to wait on the December one until I reach a number I can count down from without loosing track!!!! :surfweb:

You are farther ahead than I am -- we are still on Day Three.

We are super excited about Food and Wine -- I can't wait to eat, drink, and DIS meet without kids!

Oh, you will be surprised at how those two "get along" on Friday when Kim Possible makes a repeat appearance. Trust me, I haven't found the secret! :rotfl:

EWWWW~ I think you win for the worst description ever!

::yes::

I have been sooo busy lately I havent even had time to update my tr. I will work on it this weekend, promise. I keep saying im going to and then dont.

I hear ya! I need to head over and catch up on your TR!
