I think we all need trips like this. I never take time for myself. I don't have a hobby that takes me out of the house like Scotty does with his bicycle so I don't get that break and he understands that. The kids really take me for granted. He and I both think that this trip for me away from them will be the best thing for all of us.

I think it is good for everyone...at least for the older kids....I think this will be extremely hard on the twins because they don't understand & I can't explain that I'll be gone for a week & WILL be coming home......but we'll all survive.

I don't know why people complain about tax time......it has become our favorite time of year!!! It pays to be poor........ Let's just say we're less than $200 shy of a HUGE AMOUNT!!!!! (hint almost 5 figures)

Can't wait to spend, spend, spend......lol It should be a great trip & think I"ll get a netbook or laptop so I can upload pics during the trip & get online & update during my time away!!!!!

Now that I'm back from death's door, figured I'd show off my new purchase!!

I got a sling bag to use for travel & Disneyland!! I think this will be much easier for me to use at the parks, versus a backpack that tends to be bulky. I just need a bag to keep my camera, phone, etc stuff in while at the parks. I also like that I can wear this somewhat under my arm so I know it will be secure. The best part of this purchase was it only cost me a couple bucks for the shipping!! I earned a $20 giftcard for Target.com using Swagbucks....so I only had to cover a bit of the shipping!!

Of course I have my LGMH already attached!! I debated on colors for the bag, but wanted the LGMH to stand out from the bag & not get lost.

Now just waiting on my 2 shirts to arrive......I'm thinking they should show up anytime!!! I'll get picks of them when they do show up!!!

It seems to be......I'm really not sure I'm wearing it exactly right, but I wear the strap across me & lay the bag on my side. I know you can wear it off one shoulder but that allows the zippers & bag vunerable while standing in lines. It feels comfy wearing on my side & I can switch sides/shoulders if it starts to wear on me. It's bigger than a fanny pack, more fitting than a purse & much easier to carry than a full size backpack.

Woo Hoo, woke up this morning to find our State Refund had made it's way into my bank account!! This is a fraction of our refund coming back....but it's enough for me to go out & get a laptop or netbook!!! Can't wait.....will post when I get my new toy in hand!!

So a shopping I did go!!! I got a Dell Laptop! It has a 15.6" screen, 3GB of memory, 320GB of Hard Drive & Dual processor. It comes with Windows 7. I left it with the Geek Squad at Best Buy to remove all the extra goop they put on new computers.....so I can pick up tomorrow morning!!!!

We also went & ring shopped! Been married almost 27 yrs & I have a thing gold band. This is what we picked out & I'll pick it up when our federal refund comes in next Friday.

I can't wait to have both with me!!!!

The light up stuff will be fun.....but the boas feathers fall off pretty easily.....we'll leave a trail behind us.....

So as I sit here impatiently waiting on my federal refund (I believe friday is the day).....I decided I needed to list out my Still Need to Do List:

Reserve 3 nights at the Paradise Pier Hotel with the AP rate.
Get Mike's round trip Airline Ticket purchased.
Get my return trip Airline Ticket purchased (since I wasn't planning on flying home & now we are)
Finish the Snack bags for the Meet-n-Greet.
Check for more names for the Meet-n-Greet so I can finish up the name tags.
Check all the light up stuff to make sure the batteries are working.
Start figuring out my packing list & what luggage to take.
Start ironing out my daily schedule.

Some of this stuff I can do prior to the money coming in, but being so sick last week......I'm still feeling a bit unmotivated & dealing with horrible back pain.

Can't believe we're in February already!!!! Woo Hoo, this trip is getting so close now!!!

DOH DOH DOH.......federal refund has been delayed until Tuesday the 8th!!! I'm not sure why, the state refund already got to us & they won't process the state one until the Federal one is accepted. I'm thinking they were overrun with returns since most people have gone to e-filing. Now I just sit & wait........want to get the rest of my trip paid for so I can start doing the happy countdown dance!!! Plus, I WANT my wedding set!!! I've waited almost 27 yrs, so what's another couple days?........A LOT!!! lol
