Gabby and I are going to be at WDW this fall in honor of my 40th birthday. During our trip, we are going to hit a few dream fulfilling stops before we get to WDW. Along for the ride this time, we will be bringing a special vacation buddy. Gabby surprised me with a lime green beanie bear that is wearing a Mickey Mouse t-shirt. I named him DISzee. DISzee, will be meeting the characters and riding the rides with us. He can't wait to earn his own ears, like Tux the penguin did when he came with us in 2005.
ssst: don't tell them that their ears are actually Christmas tree ornaments that are tiny felt ear hats!
)
There will be some additional tweaking along the way as we make decisions about Halloween Horror Nights at Universal and that sort of thing. I am a little unsure of our ability to actually get into the Lady & Son's on Thursday afternoon, due to it's popularity. I have a feeling that it will get shifted to Friday, which is still very doable. Gabby swears it's no big deal, since she has gone there several times with her Mom. I am looking forward to the ghost tour since it will be close to Halloween. Luckily, it's a tour that Gabby hasn't already taken with her mom during one of their trips together, so it will be new to both of us.
I am working up a list of coffee houses along A1A to visit on our way down to Cocoa Beach from Savannah. That day is going to be all about trying out new coffee experiences. Say it with me, "Caffiene is Good!"
We both have had dreams of doing the Dolphin Swim at Discovery Cove, but we just never gave it any serious thought before because of the expense, but you only turn 40 once, so we decided to make this a part of the trip. I am really excited about it. It's also cool that we get to swim through the reef there and see all of the
since TL will be closed for rehab when we are at Disney.
Since admission will be free for SeaWorld, thanks to our visit to DC, we are going. It's basically a new experience for both of us, since neither of us has been there in the past 15 years or more. For me, ever since I learned about the Polar Expedition Tour a few years back, I have wanted to do it. There is just something really neat about being able to pet a penguin. I love those little waddly critters.
When we get down to WDW, a large focus of the trip will be enjoying the F&W Festival. We are most likely going to keep the MNSSHP in the itinerary, but part of me just wants to dump it and go to Epcot that night. We still have time to decide though. I am still bummed that because Disney is holding a MNSSHP on November 2nd that I won't get to have one of my dreams come true.
I really had my hopes set on seeing Wishes on my birthday, but at least we should get to see it on our last night. I just can't imagine a Disney vacation without Wishes!
Ok, so now you know way more about my plans than most of my coworkers and family will ever sit and listen to.....so, here's the plan, feel free to discuss and offer pointers! Maggie
