I am staying at Mission Beach the third week of August. My kids want to go the new Aquadica. I see it is below the city. On a Tuesday, how long do you think it would take to get there? How far is it from the SD Zoo?

Thanks!

Chula Vista from Mission Beach is about 25 minutes on the freeway but I do not know where the park will be so it might be a good 15 more minutes once you reach Chula Vista.

San Diego Zoo to Chula Vista is about a 20 minute drive.

Zoo to Mission Beach is about a 15 minute drive.

I'm assuming you'll be renting a car. Public transportation is not effective here and will more than likely triple your times.

Thanks Purrkins. I was thinking about that was around the time, assuming no accidents or other slow. I am renting a car. I have no fear of driving in CA. I will be driving down from LA and then driving up to Hollywood then Anaheim then back to LA. I know the longest will be the LA to Mission, and Mission to Hollywood. While I hate to pay for hotel parking, I like being able to come and go as I please, and the zoo is free to park at, and since I have a Platinum Busch pass, free parking and entry at SWSD and the new Aquadica. I was not going to go to Aquadica, but since Busch bought it from Knotts, and we have been to the one in Orlando, we thought it might be fun to check out, even if we only go for a few hours.

I haven't been back in SD for quite a few years, so I need to get more familiar with the area.
