Is The Wave really within walking distance to MK? Can't you also take the monorail? We're a pretty fit family but just wondering after a long day in the parks how feasible it is.

It’s not bad at all. Maybe 15 minutes or so. We normally take the monorail unless it’s going to be super packed on it or busy then we just walk to avoid the people.

Oh, and our trip is towards the end of June. The heat makes a difference. But again, if the walk is scenic and we would enjoy it, we might give walking a shot. Idk. You tell me.

Thanks! Yeah, I would rather walk if it's a choice of being packed in monorail w lots of other sweaty people..:D

We have The Wave booked for our March trip. The plan is to take the monorail there and then walk back to MK. Hoping it works out.
If you go on to YouTube, you should find a number of videos showing the actual walk between MK and Contemporary.
I’m going to check it out, thanks!

The Wave is fantastic! The walk is super easy but I wouldn't call it "scenic." It's mostly parking lot!

About a 10 minute walk, not much to look at unless you like buses...lol The Wave is really good

The monorail has to stop at TTC, Poly and GF, and you would have to go through security to board, all adding up to a longer journey than the walk.

The walk id easy peasy and the main reason we bought DVC at BLT. The only time we even consider the monorail is if its raining.

Or it stops, which happens so often

Only TO MK. Going from MK to CR it's the next stop.
So I would monorail to CR, then walk back, since I'll be rested after sitting to dine and ready to walk again.

My bad.

We find the walk from Contemporary to MK to be very doable. It takes us maybe 10 minutes. Not overly scenic, but nice.
Much faster than the monorail as it stops at TTC, Poly, GF then MK. Easily 20 minutes plus the wait for the monorail.
