Distance from CBR to International Gateway

Does anyone know how far it is from CBR to Epcot's International Gateway?

I found the following info. from the dis site:

CARIBBEAN BEACH:
Magic Kingdom: 6 miles

Epcot: 1 mile

Disney MGM Studios: 2 miles

Animal Kingdom: 6 miles

Is the above distance from CBR to Epcot for the main gate?

Not sure how they figured that because I am pretty sure it is more than a mile. It also isn't something that you should walk either.

I'm just interested in entering through the International Gateway on our first day because we are planning to go straight to the World Showcase (we have another day scheduled for the front of the park). I know it will be hard to pass up all the rides along the way if we enter through the main entrance. I've read there's no parking at the International Gateway entrance so, I was wondering how close it really was to CBR. Could someone please re-inform me as to how I may enter through International Gateway? I can use my car and/or WDW transportation.

In order to enter the International Gateway you would need to park at one of the EPCOT resorts and walk. However they do not allow parking at the resorts unless you are staying there.
You might be able to park at the lot across the street from Boardwalk and then walk to the International Gateway.
However it would be far less trouble to take your resort bus from CBR to the main gate at EPCOT and walk a little to the World Showcase.
I would estimate the walk to be the same distance from Boardwalk parking to WS as from the front gate to WS.

As for your original question....I would think it is a few miles to EPCOT on the roads, it might be one mile as the crow flies??
Certainly a little far to walk in my opinion, but you have all of WDW transportation at you disposal to use.
